It's so much. There are little things from each song that makes my world just stop spinnings.
And Im such a sucker for ballads.

Black. Immortallity. Nothing as it seems. Nothingman.

I cant choose. Love each song so much.

Eddie Is so talanted it's disgusting.

I've heard a few versions of Soon Forget when Ed gets well into it...I love that song!

The snarl on "The townsfolk they all laugh"...awesome
Too many cowboys, not enough indians, so just go ape shit!

I may be boring but at least I'm not Jack fucking Johnson.

TV is such shit; let's go outside and ride bicycles, right now!

  • Long Road(it makes me feel sad and reminds me of a long love of mine who I wait for); Blood(the name says it all it flows through my blood and makes me feel very aggressive); and Do the Evolution(i don't know what exactly this song makes me feel but it makes me feel real goooood!)

    sadness isn't the only emotion
This isn't the land of opportunity, it's the land of competition.

I dont know why but RearViewMirror, it has something that NO other song by ANYONE has, it is the song that got me into pearl jam but thats not it, sometimes i just have urges to listen to that song when i'm feeling down, it either helps you figure things out or gets you pretty depressed, either way, i love it. No one agree with me, a few of my mates do. I tihnk it might be the progression, i doubt it though because it's something mroe than music, may sound really cheesey but it's true. My favourite song of all time it has been there for me whenever i am feeling shit.

I know exactly what you mean, it's the song that brought me from a fan to a die hard fan.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

    U called? :p

hey VEDHEAD, did U hear they pushed back the S.F. Audioslave show? that's why they took it out of their database.
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.
  • I first heard this song the night i baught 10, after my "first" and i broke up. face soaked in tears, brain shook from inside out, i heard the words that changed my life from the drunken-pill-poppin loser i was to the man i am today...
The direction of the eye, so misleading
The defection of the soul, nauseously quick
    I don't question, our existence
I just question, our modern needs

I will walk...with my hands bound
I will walk...with my face blood
I will walk...with my shadow flag

I got this eerie vision in my head, and felt like the guy that was being descibed in that "sonnet"

Immortality is about Kurt Cobain(cigar box on the floor)...not Staley. His most emotional lyrics are in the song Black...hands down...
".....this land is mine, this land is free
i'll do what i want, but irresponsibly
    it's evolution baby...."
  • I heard I'm Still Here for the first time few weeks ago and can't get enough of it. If that's not emotional, then what is.

Black is the obvoius choice, especially at the middle eight. It's also probably the most universal PJ song ... a pure blues lyric.

And when you know the story behind Alive it kicks you in the guts and rips your heart in two (one of only 3 songs that have ever brought me tears).

Lukin is probably the most raw emotional song they've got. The lyrics aren't filtered through any songwriting formula and the purity of the delivery is awesome.

Yellow Ledbetter makes me cry everytime I see it live. Sometimes just hearing it on the radio or disc too. It always signals the end of something very precious to me.

Second, I've have to vote for Man Of The Hour or Long Road.
"You think I got my eyes closed but I'm lookin' at you the whole fuckin' time..."

Oh I know exactly what you mean...RVM is a very special song. It means a lot to me, coz it reminds me of someone I really loved... :(

but the most emotional song is in my opinion definitely 'black'. the lyrics, the music...this song is so sad and beautiful at the same time. especially the mtv unplugged version makes me cry almost everytime... :/

I'd say these are the most emotional songs

    1. Black
    2. Light Years
    3. RVM
    4. Corduroy
    5. Release
    6. Indifference
~ I dr Schwiiz isch me us Pearl Jam Fan zimli elei...~
  • Arc, for what it means... :-(
Indifference, 'cause i'm afraid of that feeling, and the song is so sad!
Immortality... well, it's just a perfect song

And watch the Oceans and Jeremy videos... chiiiiiiil

Black is hands down one of Pearl Jam's most emotional songs, it almost sounds like Ed's crying at the end
Rearview Mirror, definately, and one of my favs
Off He Goes my fav song at the time (it switches day to day)
Yellow Ledbetter - I cry when I hear it too.
War In Iraq? Do It In My Name.
  • I'd say THUMBING MY WAY!
makes me cry. think that is because it sounds like Eddie is gonna start crying.
