so, thought struck me that trading in stocks is risk taking, yes? like gambling. gambling winnings get taxed . dont think losses can be written off. so tax it like gambling....
I could see Taxing transaction for stocks held less than a certain period of time. Daytrader tax
how would that work? focus on the daytrading sites? what period of time would you be okay with?
Sorry been busy. Honestly I’d have to do more research to have a full plan here. But daytrading isn’t what the stock market is for. I know the profits are taxed at normal income rate so that’s better at least. But still think more could be done
Here's a fun snippet from Mayor Pete on Jimmy Fallon. Said location (LaPorte County) he used in the game is where I live. Love when Scarlett Johansson butchered (pun intended) the name of the county.
Biden extends polling lead over 2020 Democrat rivals to widest margin in six months
Joe Biden is leading by his widest-set margin among Democratic presidential contenders since his campaign's launch in April, according to a new poll from CNN.
More than 35 per cent of Democrat and Democrat-leaning voters support the former vice president, compared to other frontrunners Elizabeth Warren, who polled at 19 per cent, and Bernie Sanders, who was on 16 per cent.
SSRS surveyed 1,003 people over three days in October; 352 were called on a landline and 651 responded via mobile phone.
According to the SSRI poll, published on Wednesday, the centrist-leaning former vice-president is receiving most of his support among moderate and conservative Democrats, up from 29 per cent in September to 43 per cent in October, and nonwhite voters, who spiked their support from 28 per cent to 42 per cent within the last month.
Support for Mr Biden among older voters — people aged 45 and older — also shot up 13 points from September to 43 per cent. He remains the most popular candidate among voters aged 65 and older, at 39 per cent, while Mr Sanders carries 26 per cent of the vote among voters aged 18-49.
When asked which candidates are best suited to handle six critical issues, a majority of survey respondents picked Mr Biden among four of those issues. He falls short in health care, where Mr Sanders polled at 28 per cent.
But Mr Biden is leading among candidates when it comes to foreign policy (56 per cent) and the economy (38 per cent). He also is matched by Mr Sanders at 26 per cent for addressing the climate crisis; both candidates polled at 19 per cent in June.
Mr Biden's spike arrives as Congress pursues its impeachment probe into President Donald Trump, who asked Ukraine for damaging information on the former vice-president as part of a so-called "quid pro quo" in exchange for security aid. Mr Biden's son Hunter Biden was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company while Mr Biden was serving as vice-president under President Barack Obama.
When it comes to whether the candidates can defeat Mr Trump in 2020, voters surveyed gave the Democratic frontrunners a significant advantage over the president in hypothetical match-ups. Respondents said Mr Biden could win by 10 points at 53 per cent with Mr Trump at 43 per cent, while Mr Sanders tops Mr Trump by nine points (52 per cent to 43 per cent) and Ms Warren by eight points (52 per cent to 44 per cent).
The SSRS survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 per cent.
The survey results follow Emerson Polling's Tuesday results, which showed Mr Biden in a close race at 27 per cent compared to Mr Sanders at 25 per cent.
In that poll's hypothetical match-ups between the candidates and Mr Trump, the president trails Mr Biden, Mr Sanders and Ms Warren, with the Democrats at 51 per cent and Mr Trump at 49 per cent.
The GOP is practically ignoring Warren. I take that as a sign that she either poses no threat to win the nomination or they are hoping she can take the lead and somehow win.
Completely agree. They want her to be the nominee. They probably see her as a second-rate Hillary who will be easier to tie to socialism than Hillary was, has less resources (both financial and personal connections) than Hillary, and isn’t married to a popular former president like Hillary.
Wow do these 2 comments nail it. The GOP would LOVE Warren as the nominee.
Warren will be crucified by trump and he will be able to drag her down to his level by eviscerating her for her dishonesty.
She really needs to stop lying before she drags the party down.
This is sarcasm, right?

Sarcasm??? I totally agree with this. Being a Republican leaning voter this is absolutely what is wished for. If Biden is the guy the Dem’s have a chance this time around. All the others, especially Warren make it a landslide. The Dem’s will have their first Socialist President in 8-12 years when all the kids who were brought up by Snowflakes get their first chance to vote.

Well, you're not Sanders or Warren's target at least. I feel like when Pete, Joe or Amy speak, I'm connecting with their ideas. I figured you'd be aligned with some of their policies.

What I like about how Pete's representing, is that he reads as authentic in both having long-term vision, and also in incrementalism by laying stepping stones to reach that vision, all the while toeing the line delicately to make sure not to present himself as being supportive of just 'blowing it all up'.

As an aside, I get very confused about the snowflake analogy. Aren't trump supporters nearly all white? Aren't republicans the party with the "purity test?"
Anyway, I'm a bit disappointed with Amy. I thought she'd be the perfect candidate. But I do not get the sense she is getting twenty thousand to roar in approval when she speaks. It's a shame trump turned politics into a PJ arena show but here we are.
Pete is da man. He comes across as extremely smart and well spoken with a good mix of polite yet forceful when needed. Unfortunately he is very young, and I'm not sure middle America is ready for the image of him passionately celebrating a victory with his husband, yet. I say 2036 the USA will be ready.
And good old Joe. He should be da man, but listen up, folks, he is so darn rusty. Still.
So then we're left with Bernie and Liz, who would be perfect if we were voting for the PM of Canada or Norway. But Ohio voters are a far cry away from those countries.

it's so funny to me about this snowflake nonsense when all I see from Trump and the R's is constant fucking whining about how badly they are treated. trump himself keeps saying how "vicious" democrats are. Never heard of a vicious snowflake.
same thing in canada right now. all the conservatives are whining and crying about not being paid enough attention to. yet they are the supposed "tough ones".

It's early and I think anyone needs to be up by 5+ points come election day in a national poll to mitigate the EC variable. And state polling, while useful, seems to be a little less reliable. I'm worried tbh. Trump has a floor of support. He probably has a ceiling too, so they compensate by suppressing votes.

Absolutely I got a great headstart by being given too much responsibility too early, and seeing first-hand the danger of not mitigating risks properly in a major sales system re-write. Bit of PTSD never hurt anyone!

The Dem’s will have their first Socialist President in 8-12 years when all the kids who were brought up by Snowflakes get their first chance to vote.
Warren beats tRump in polling....or did you mean a Dem landslide?
It's early and I think anyone needs to be up by 5+ points come election day in a national poll to mitigate the EC variable. And state polling, while useful, seems to be a little less reliable. I'm worried tbh. Trump has a floor of support. He probably has a ceiling too, so they compensate by suppressing votes.
I think I'm good now....his 38% won't budge but the independents aren't going to vote for him again regardless of who the Dem is.

Hey look, another Republican telling democrats who their nominee should be.
Hahahaha this is funny. This is kinda how I feel about this when I’m looking at the candidates. But I really am going to vote for one....but it feels weird as I know I’m not the target audience in a Democratic Party primary.
Well, you're not Sanders or Warren's target at least. I feel like when Pete, Joe or Amy speak, I'm connecting with their ideas. I figured you'd be aligned with some of their policies.
Yes, you are correct. Really like Pete and Amy. Joe...not so much. Not because of his politics.
Regardless of who the nominee is, I'm voting Pete Buttigieg for Vice-President. Even if he's not the running mate. He just looks a Vice-President to me. If Buttigieg, Al Gore and Dan Quayle walked into a room, he'd look just as vice-presidential as they do.
If I was voting in primary today, I’d be voting Buddha, and most likely will be come time. I like Pete at the top of ticket, but don’t think he fits as a vp. His Midwest roots would be a plus though. clooney has to be at the top. he's the one who has to be in the briefing room, clowning all the press corps.

South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg and California Senator Kamala Harris each received 6 per cent, and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke each polled at 3 per cent.

So I'm stumped. Still.
same thing in canada right now. all the conservatives are whining and crying about not being paid enough attention to. yet they are the supposed "tough ones".
laughable.
