Ed solo in the Stadthalle/Vienna? Impossible! I'm sure he remembers what he said about the acoustic in 2014! The concert and crowd was amazing but the sound in this building is horrible!

  • Pinkpop announcement begins at 12:00 CET. Interestingly Electric Picnic in Ireland is being announced today too, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ed headline a night of that. Let's see what happens I guess!

If I understood correctly, Pinkpop has an event taking place at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, starting in about 30 mins from now and lasting 2 hours. During that time they will announce their lineup and also post on social media. So no exact time can be given, but stay tuned :)  You can follow a livestream at http://www.pinkpop.nl or on their Facebook page.

Yes... My thoughts too. If this turns out to be correct I would assume the star marked shows might be with the who... That would probably make more sense for Stadthalle (although I am not sure if I would prefer this to the original 'no concert in Austria' ... Would make deciding travel cost vs location more difficult...)

The Who is not doing any more shows, London is advertised as the "Exclusive European Show". Selling so poorly, that they would be out of their minds to announce any more shows on such short notice.

  • Details of a new Irish festival being announced later this morning with the details of Electric Picnic ...Maybe it will be of interest to us !

"With Electric Picnic now fully sold out he will also announce initial details of a brand new festival taking place this summer. The stunning location of this new festival – brought to you by the Electric Picnic family - has never before been used and will provide the perfect backdrop to a new event on the summer festival calendar," Electric Picnic organisers have said.

As was stated a few posts up, Electric Picnic is too late in the year for Ed, unless he takes a month long holiday with his crew in Ireland. Plus Picnic isn't new, it's been hopelessly sold out for years now. It's become a proper corporate machine of a festival.

Reckon if Ireland is indeed on the itinerary, it'll be a one off show somewhere.

That's the "late" festival, no details of the newer festival yet.

Pinkpop sure knows how to milk the announcement for all its worth. Now just video clips of their long history (but there's eddie jumping from the camera crane at least)
