Looks like some cool venues/locations.  Would be fun to take a few weeks and travel and see a few shows.  Not in the cards for me unfortunately.

This is the only time I've ever been disappointed by a tour announcement for PJ or Vedder.  I sure hope an album is done before his tour.
I am equally disappointed. I just don't see how an EV show will work out at big venues. PJ i get it, but EV solo shows should be more intimate.

Anyway, I'll wait for the official announcement, maybe there's a little surprise in there somewhere :)

for those of us in the states, specifically in the west, we get both the Innings fest and Ohana fest. So don't feel too left out. And these are not huge as venues. You can be up front easy. I'll be at both, so I got my fix. Not even bothered by this EU tour. Feels good!

Firenze in 2017 was very big and worked well!
But asaf and lotto arena were more intimate
  • I'm looking forwards to Barolo and lots of purple teeth!

Firenze (11k standing capacity) is still much smaller than many of the other venues that are being mentioned in this thread :(

Let's wait and see. Hopefully the announcement won't take too long.

Firenze had a 8,000 capacity inner pit and over 40,000 outer pit. There was 55,000 plus in 2017.

You are right. Probably the only good thing about such venues is that you're freely allowed to film :)

I really doubt he'll come to Pula after Barolo. Foo Fighters play there on 18th and 19th.

Would be amazing but capacity is 5000. Seems he's only playing the bigger venues? Hope i'm wrong though!

I feel so disconnected from PJ. It’s a weird feeling honestly. Between the merch craze, the complete lack of interest in new music, the baseball stadiums, the odd touring schedule, announcing one date at a time, another EV solo tour, the formulaic setlists.... I’m not complaining, it’s just all things I would of never picture 10 years ago. I’ll always love this band but I gotta say, I get the feeling the magic is dissipating.

    Just in case
disclaimer: this is just my opinion. Not a fact. Believe it or not, others may not feel this way and there’s nothing wrong with that either.

Many people will go to these shows and have the best nights of their lives.

Yet Im troubled by the fact that this is the least excited ive ever been by a tour. It genuinely bothers me, but im putting it down to venue sizes........

    I agree.
  • I was a bit concerned as well, but then I read the fan views from Firenze Rocks 2017 and was quickly put to ease.

I went to the 2017 Firenze show with no hype at all thinking it would just be an average festival show. We had tickets to the Taormina shows which we were excited for and this show was almost an afterthought. We were in the country at the time and wanted to see Florence anyways so we got tickets. What we got was an amazing show that floored us from start to finish. Yes Eddie is better suited for the theatres and smaller venues but he can pull of the big shows too. With that said being in the pit for 10 hours before Eddie even came on with sub par bands before him was a drag. Glen and his band killed it though.

it will be to hard to beat taormina ever again, that theater, that acoustic, that view with the volcano in the back..
that was the best set up of eddie solo of all times
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
