Yep. This not anymore corporate than Lollapalooza, Coachella, ACL.   They’re all sponsored by Fortune 500 companies who contribute to any cause they feel like.

If PJ and the Foos headline it will already be 10000x better than Coachella.

‘94 wouldve been cool.  Watched PPV all weekend.  Great lineup.
yeah '94 would have been awesome!

I still watch the NIN '94 and a bunch of the 1999 performances.  Whatever the lineup is, I hope we get a broadcast.

  • No it wouldn't Joe...

Happy New Year by the way!
I think it would be a fun time.  Don’t let 94 and 99 scare you. Festivals are very organized nowadays. Unless, you don’t like festivals at all...

I’ll always try to see PJ if they’re a close car ride away (plus I probably have a place to stay already locked up).
We live in NY where we get to see bands in relatively small venues all the time.  I'm enjoying more of that than big time festivals now.

I'd go more for the side stages than the main stage for something like this.

Apparently the Woodstock 50th anniversary event is different from the Bethel Woods Music and Cultural Festival.

Tweet from November also mentioned that the artist listed were the type they would be approaching and not confirmed or rumored artists.

I'd rather see Hootie and the Blowfish on acid with bugs crawling on me than Pearl Jam do Woodstock 50.

I would actually be into doing this as long as it’s part of a bigger tour this year.  I’d be disappointed if this was the only show they do on the east coast but I would still probably go.

Korn's performance for Blind was pretty awesome. Mosh pit looked insane! (1:27 mark)

This is absolutely something Pearl Jam would play at this point in their careers.  They altered an entire tour plan in 2016 to play Bonnaroo.

I would be willing to bet that this happens, and I’ll be going for tickets when it does

Totally. Not to mention the heat and the dirt, and having to sit on the ground, if you can sit at all. I hate festivals so much. Even when I was young I didn't enjoy them. Especially with the porta-potties. Too gross.

yeah i think my festival days are over. My last one was made in america 2013 which wasn't too bad actually and it was close to me. This one would be somewhere in NY. Not sure exactly where in NY woodstock is though.  My sister lives in upstate NY near Rochester.

I don’t go to many festivals but if I do I will go with the attitude that I will walk around all day and catch bands and eat good food, and will know that i will watch PJ from 50 yards away on the jumbo tron.  Stand in one spot all day to get rail?  That would be a terrible experience.

I hope they have atleast fifteen posters for this event.
    Ahahahahaha....
  • I don't enjoy these huge outdoor festivals, especially in the heat of the summer. I sure hope they do an arena tour next!
