Waynestock had better organization than this shitshow. Maybe Aerosmith will roll up last second in a limo.

Thank GOD Pearl Jam was never a part of this.  This is just the Fyre festival without beaches at this point.

Anyone go to this??  We had PPV so we watched it all weekend for three days straight.  Amazing festival

Woodstock 94 —-  Peter Gabriel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, NIN, Green Day, Blind Melon, Metallica, LiVE, Porno for Pyros, Cypress Hill, Melissa Etheridge, Candlebox, Kings X, James, The Band, Sheryl Crow, Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Rollins Band, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Cranberries, Joe Cocker, Bob Dylan, Santana, Jimmy Cliff, Arrested Development, about twenty more bands....

All of those bands mentioned above were at their peak when they did this.  CSN, Cocker, Dylan, Santana and Cliff are the only retros of that list.

Something equivalent for that to happen this day and age would need Drake, Migos, Cardi B, 21 Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Bieber, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Meek Mill, Ariana Grande, A boogie, J Cole, Maroon 5, Billie Ellish and some country acts to make it huge...

So pretty much what everyone listens to today and not from 25 years ago.

When you have the younger generation turn their backs on guitar rock that inspired people for fifty years before you, you are left with festivals that cant sell tickets, festivals that get canceled and scary potential lineups like that one above
I listen to these artists.  It is whats happening now.  Look at country, it's the pop rock of this generation and for the most part they all have guitars as do Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift and if you are lucky Post Malone will do an acoustic version of a Nirvana song at the show.

You’d have to have an unbelievable lineup to even standout amongst the 300 festivals that exist today.

Normal current headliners would have to be playing at 2pm.  That sort of thing.   That’s what a real Woodstock 50 should be.
No big loss if this doesnt happen.  Woodstock ‘94 was the real deal tho.

Woodstock 51 with PJ next year anyone? Not a rumor or a fact.  Just throwing it out there as an idea.

Agreed. That was the greatest decade of music though. At this point, we're living on scraps, comparatively.

Not that we need any more evidence that this festival isn’t happening but

Killers, Dead and Company, Imagine Dragons, Greta Van Fleet have all removed Woodstock from their upcoming tour dates on their official websites

I'm shocked that a Woodstock festival would turn into a clusterfuck.

All artists released from performance contracts. Lang is still an unorganized hippy and that does not work in 2019!

My last big outdoor festivals were for
    Tom Petty
    Soundgarden
    Foo Fighters

thats it for me, I will not put myself through that stress anymore . Lines for Merch, lines for beer, lines to pee
    never ending lines
Totally agree. Enough with the festivals. They suck.

Smaller festivals are where its at. I've been going to Pitchfork fest every year for the past 15 years. Its the best festival in Chicago. less than 10,000 people attend, eclectic lineup, headliners are usually pretty strong, even if they aren't the draw for me. Good food, plenty of bathrooms, decent shade. Always the best weekend. We need more stuff like that, less Lollapaloozas/Bonnaroos/Coachellas.

Totally agree. Just got back from my 9th Newport Folk Fest. Same size...10k. For a hundred reasons it's the best festival going by a mile.
