republicans don't like her because she is everything they don't want in a woman....
    Smart
    Educated
    Independent
    Well spoken
Not afraid to speak her mind
Doesn't take shit from old fat "christian" white males
    Etc
So ridiculous. They don’t like her because she’s a Socialist Dem. Same like you dislike anyone in the other party. I can’t stand her because I don’t agree with her socialistic views and her vilifying anyone who’s successful in life. I live in NY so I have to deal with the consequences of her views. Liking her just because the right (and middle dems) hate her is immature.

I think the right is happy to have her there.  It offers a target, a boogeyman.  It's preferable to someone low key that votes the same way.  The left is happy to have Gomert in congress as well, as he similarly puts a target on his back.

Well since you made your response personal I'll respond politely, and in a mature manner, by saying I like her because of what stands for and what she stands against. I like that she upsets the "status quo". I'm successful in life and I don't feel for one moment that she vilifies me.
And I certainly don't like and admire her because others hate her. That would make me more like a supporter of the current so-called president.

As for liking or not liking anyone in the "other" party....as long as people continue to support and vote for a lying narcissistic racist xenophobe I'll continue to offer my opinion and disdain for them.

When you support a racist in any way shape or form including voting that makes you a racist as well.

Her speech did highlight major concern on mine with her thoughts and beliefs. She said she goes to work in Congress to make sure her constituents have a roof over their heads.  Government providing.  Everything.

AOC is solid.  Yoho should be forced to resign...that the GOP is relatively silent isn't surprising.
Forced to resign?  hmmm, cancel culture back at it again.  NO wonder we can never have any real discussions.

    1) Statement made
    2) Anti-statement people calling for firing
    3) Pro-statement people defending and ignoring the potential issues of said statement
    4) Statement maker is either fired or apologizes...no discussion to be had.

You want to have a discussion with someone who wags their finger in your face and calls you a “fucking bitch,” and then doesn’t apologize? Fired? The dick was elected and will probably get re-elected. Remember Arizona Governor Jan Brewer wagging her finger in Obama’s face? Imagine a dem doing that to Team Trump Treason. Yea, I’d be eager to have a “discussion” with these deplorables.

He never said it to her face. Even she corrected that piece of the initial story. Doesn't make it ok, but it was a Hill reporter who heard his comment as she walked away. Ever swore under your breath after a heated exchange with someone? His speech trying to justify it afterwards was shit, but he didn't say it to her.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Her speech did highlight major concern on mine with her thoughts and beliefs. She said she goes to work in Congress to make sure her constituents have a roof over their heads.  Government providing.  Everything.

I would hope that all elected officials are toward every constituent having a roof over their head, clean and safe water, accessible health care, safe schools, and the rest of what makes a decent society. That's not the same thing as "government providing everything".

    You’re canceled. No name calling.
Was the way he spoke to AOC not being a dick? Like describing a Team Trump Treason supporter a Deplorable, how would you describe Yoho’s behavior?

I’d love for anyone here to be overheard by an HR rep calling a female colleague of color a “fucking bitch” whether under their breath or not, and to hear about the “discussion” that ensued.
Dude I couldn’t care less. But what does her being a POC have to do with anything? I doubt you’d give two shits if someone called Kayleigh Mcenany a bitch. Right?

Forced to resign?  hmmm, cancel culture back at it again.  NO wonder we can never have any real discussions.

Wrong, I wouldn’t want anyone to call Kayleigh McEnany a “fucking bitch.” Are you okay with it? Think any repub white women members of Congress have been called “fucking bitch” by dem male reps, of any color?

I’m not ok with anyone calling anyone a fuckin bitch. But I’d be lying if I said I never did it while stuck behind someone going 45 mph in the left lane. And to your last question, yes I do. Maybe not to their face though.

It's all in how you feel you need to go about it.
Sure. Did she give details in how she’s going about it in the speech that concerned you?
Not in that speech.  But are you trying to argue I can't disagree with her well known platform?

Or a work colleague at work, from someone who holds office. We all should expect better. How low has the bar become?

The guy is a total dirtbag.

No. You said "that speech did highlight major concern on mine with her thoughts and beliefs", so I was wondering what it was about "that speech" that highlighted your concern. Simply stating that she wants her constituents to have a roof over their heads doesn't seem to warrant major concern.
