what dreams said:How can anyone look at the election results and claim the country is getting more and more progressive? The evidence is simply not there.
Go ahead, though, and replace Pelosi with someone to her left at this moment in time. We'll see how that works for us. Sure. They may as well go with someone hard left. I mean, they could go with Collin Peterson from Minnesota* who voted against impeachment and he'd still become the right's poster-child for evil and crazy liberalness. And everyone else would be even left of him! If the position is going to be a figurehead for evil liberalism, may as well go all the way...*I neither know nor care whether he won1995 Milwaukee 1998 Alpine, Alpine 2003 Albany, Boston, Boston, Boston 2004 Boston, Boston 2006 Hartford, St. Paul (Petty), St. Paul (Petty) 2011 Alpine, Alpine 2013 Wrigley 2014 St. Paul 2016 Fenway, Fenway, Wrigley, Wrigley 2018 Missoula, Wrigley, Wrigley 2021 Asbury Park 2022 St Louis 2023 Austin, Austin 2024 Napa, Wrigley, Wrigley 2025 Nashville (II)0 -

100,000 people? Wow no idea she only has that few votes. Awful big voice for such a small base.static111 said:

Minnesota always has very high voter turnout. Omar can get some credit for bumping up turn out in her district, but the turnout in the rural areas in MN was just as high. Rural MN went deep red. I feel a big part of that was due to the unrest after George Floyd’s death, and Trump hammering on immigration and Omar on his visits to the state.Spiritual_Chaos said:
She’s a lot like Trump. Her base in her district love her. Also her district would vote for a potato as long as it had a D next to the name. Outside of there, she’s loathed.Post edited by jerparker20 on0 -
I think there are millions of people that aren’t in her district that believe in her. That might be what helps amplify her voice. Also the republicans putting a target on her has made her very popular for the news networks.cincybearcat said:

Sadly I think people on this forum are too conservative for any successful plan Omar or anyone of the squad has to offer. I need to just move my family to Sweden.Spiritual_Chaos said:Scio me nihil scire

Because Joe pandering to the right ...checks notes... brought Trump 93% of t he republicans vote vs 90% in 2016what dreams said:How can anyone look at the election results and claim the country is getting more and more progressive? The evidence is simply not there.

Please explain your cause and effect. Where is your evidence that one caused the other? Your're saying the 3% increase is the fault of Biden pandering to the right? Three percent of Trump voters looked at two right-leaning candidates and picked Trump? That's a bold claim as well, not sure it’s grounded in fact or just your opinion. I'll wait for a logical explanation of that.static111 said:

Maybe look at the numbers of newly registered Republican voters, and voters who came out this time just because the heat was on. The R's had a pretty strong registration drive in areas where they felt they needed it, and peeled off a lot of Latino and black men. I have my theories about why the latter turned out for him, and it's not because Joe is a secret Republican.0 -
What numbers did he have with latino and black men country.wide, with mail in votes added?what dreams said:

Nice edit of the rest of the comment to take it out of context. You may have a future working for the Daily Caller.Spiritual_Chaos said:

The whole point of tacking right was to get the moderate Republican vote because the left couldn’t be counted on. Nevertheless, the right went hard for Trump.what dreams said:

Again, you cause and effect confuses me. Biden went right BECAUSE the left is unreliable? Really? Answering yes is a problem.static111 said:

And centrist, independent vote. I know people who would have stayed home had Bernie been the nominee.static111 said:
