While we're at it, we could look at the stats on false convictions. Innocent blacks are 7 times more likely to be convicted of murder than innocent whites charged for the same crime. Black people serving time for sexual assault are 3.5 times more likely to be innocent than white people serving time for sexual assault. Finally, innocent black people are 12 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted for drug crimes than innocent white people. Good thing we have the Innocence Project.
I'm wondering how people can look at this data and not see what's plainly in front of them.

You’re right they do no wrong, aren’t responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime, are wrongfully in prison because of skin color, and their neighborhoods are the very epitome of safe living nearly the modern utopia. It’s all white supremacy, again. Damn govt reports, good info when you want them to be, terrible info when they don’t.
So please tell me, if the govt report on rapes is wrong what are the correct numbers? If the govt reports on murder stats are wrong what are the correct numbers?
I wonder how many people who were wrongfully convicted of murder or sexual assault and spent decades in prison thought it was a molehill?Maybe we should ask Anthony Wright, who was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault and spent more than 25 years in prison after being framed by police. Or John Bunn. Or Aaron Salter. Or....

The west Memphis three?
How about the Central Park Five? Five > three.
If your point is that they're white, well..... point to anything in my posts that say that only black people get wrongfully convicted. However, with wrongful conviction rates of between 3.5 and 12 for a range of crimes, we're going to run out of wrongfully convicted white people first if we keep this up.

I thought we are supposed to believe all women. The left’s near weekly changing narrative surely confuses me.
When someone is familiar with the "data", coupled that with actual real world experience, it makes it that much more valuable
I'm not going to be lectured about race and the black experience by a white guy and a white Canadian lol... especially in the way you choose to lecture, its old... you guys do the same thing to anybody that offers a different opinion or viewpoint, you jump down their throat and try to act as though you're the smartest person in the room... you also seem to take it personally when someone disagrees with you or has a different opinion and make it personal
So now that you are armed with all of the data, what are you doing about it to help?

Says the guy calling posters names and refusing to acknowledge facts but rather “conspiracies.” Show me where I’ve taken anything posted “personally.” If you don’t want your view point to be challenged, post or debate on a site full of like minded individuals. Bunch of snowflakes around these parts.

You haven’t provided the “government report” on rapes. How can we determine if it’s wrong without seeing whether it validates what you’ve claimed?

I'm not arguing on opinions, I'm arguing on facts. You can have whatever opinion you want about it, but you can't have your own facts about these issues, and the facts are also separate from anything one chooses to do about them, or not. But I've already posted in another thread that part of my work is with women involved in the sex trade, many of whom are minorities or otherwise disadvantaged. Real world experience.

A large part of the problem in this country when it comes to people's perceptions of certain groups is that they do not have any interactions with them. Working in the juvenile justice system and with women who are involved in the sex trade are certainly real world experiences that would cause a person to have a deeper understanding of people as a whole and not have as much judgement. Sometimes it can also cause people to have more judgement. All people are different, but exposure leads to understanding.
Some people never have contact with anyone that is not like themselves and that contributes to the 'other' stereotype. I have worked in New York City, have volunteered in hospitals and taught ESL in Northern New Jersey and my environment is extremely multi-cultural. I find it to be advantageous. I can see the good and the bad in the actions of all different kinds of people, and I can learn why certain people do certain bad actions when they are not intrinsically bad people. I also know that there are some people who are just plain bad and there are gangs, even MS-13 that come and go from my neighborhood. And yes, they are a product of the US prison system who have largely moved to Central America and are now causing life to be unbearable to regular people just trying to live.
My son has grown up in a world that is in no way as homogeneous as the one that I did (and my experience was more varied than people from other parts of the country or even my state). He sees people as people. He doesn't have a black friend or a Spanish girlfriend - he has a friend or girlfriend and I think that is fantastic. Despite my view of the world, there is still a subconscious prejudice that I learned as a young child in my environment. I choose not to embrace that way of thinking, but it is there and I'm happy that my son does not have that learned behavior.
There are certainly some horrible people in this country or that want to get into this country, but I do not want to live in a country that has a wall built around it - what's next, a dome overhead? And I have found that some of the nastiest people that I have met in my real life have been white people. I don't understand people who are so judgemental of others due to all sorts of factors. I don't think I am superior to anyone, not do I think I am inferior to anyone. I am not naive and I know how to live in the real world, but my inner self yearns for a world that has more love and less hate.

I never claimed to have the high ground, and I dont jump down people's throats when they have a different opinions than me.
You are lecturing me about the black experience in America... so I figured I would ask what you're doing about it besides talking down to people?
All I said was BLM's statement that black people are being systematically targeted for demise in America is bullshit divisive rhetoric... that doesnt mean I think blacks have an awesome experience at all times in America, or anywhere else... I never said prejudices didn't exist... I never said blacks always get a fair shake... if racism was as all encompassing as you guys are trying to portray Obama would not have sniffed the oval office and definitely would not have won a primary in Iowa which is like 97% white or something insane like that
Speaking of freshman year justice system data... familiar with gender discrimination data? Funny how that never gets mentioned? Maybe males are being systematically targeted for demise? No? Doesn't fit your "everybody and everything" is racist narrative?
And give me a call when Canada becomes anywhere near as diverse as America, and elects a person of color to be it's leader. Until then, save the finger wagging and preach your white guilt to somebody else
49.4% of murders committed by blacks.... 48.2% by whites...
54.9% of robberies committed by blacks... 43.4% by whites...
Blacks accounted for 28.1% of all arrests nationwide
Meanwhile, blacks only represent 13% of the American population... AND in these statistics Hispanics are counted as white, so that clearly skews the stats even further!!! that's done frequently for some reason in a lot if crime data?
Anyone care to discuss that? How come you guys didn't mention that data? Doesnt fit your narrative that whitey is evil and we are all systematically targeting blacks?
Keep perpetuating the victim mentality and blaming racism for everything.

Gee, I thought we were discussing racism and the black experience in America? Who gives a fuck what Canada does or doesn’t do? Like I said, one black two term president doesn’t erase 400 years of systemic racism in the US, backed by facts that have been provided. What I see, is you in denial when presented with facts, here in this debate and regarding 9/11. Facts exist and facts matter, except to the ignorant few. According to you, that makes me an elitist. WTF? Some on here, when challenged to provide the basis of their opinion, post stupid memes or refuse to do so. That’s weak. And ignorant. And if you’re (not you but others, in a general sense) are going to post bullshit statements, be prepared to be challenged on it. Don’t run away, don’t complain, back your shit up. I’d love to see the basis of Unsung’s “for every black woman raped by a white guy, thirty white women are raped by black men” statistic. You seem to take that at face value. I call bullshit.
yes, I’m also familiar with gender discrimination data. Would you like to discuss it? What about it? And like racism, it’s about white men running scared of losing power. So, you want to discuss why women earn less, on average than men? Why a strong women is considered a bitch or a sexually permissive one a slut while men are viewed as strong and the cats meow. Are you scared of equal rights for women like some others on here?
And you sure as hell jumped down some folks’ throats while denying facts about 9/11. But go ahead, lecture me, I can take it.

When it's been proven, and you have been provided data, that black people are disproportionately arrested, charged, convicted and unjustly convicted, and given longer sentences than white people, it doesn't make sense to then point to those same numbers and say that they prove that black people commit more crimes.
Every "murder committed by blacks" data point comes from the data that includes all of the above, including the fact that innocent black people are 7 times more likely to be convicted of murder than innocent white people.
Look at better data.

Unsung was talking rape. Why did you post murder stats? From 2012?
I've been to Canada... it's as white as a fresh snow fall... funny the % of blacks in Canada wasnt listed
400 years? Wtf does 400 years ago have to do with "blacks are being systematically targeted for demise" in 2018???
True Systemic racism, which this country has definitely had as part of its history, would have never allowed people of color to rise to such positions of power as they have recently... no it doesn't erase 400 years of injustice, no shit sherlock, but it does prove that the systemic racism that this country once had is mostly a thing of the past. Are there still instances of injustice? Of course. Is work still needed? Of course. Is criminal justice reform still needed? Absolutely. But show me the modern day segregation laws? Slaves still running around here like 400 years ago? White/black diners, restrooms, hotels, court rooms? Think a black hip hop star and football star would have been invited to the oval office 100 years ago?
Again, thanks for the 7th grade civics lesson... maybe you should go back and listen to the words of Barack and Michelle on this subject and how far modern America has come. Or keep focusing on the past and projecting it on 2018.
Also, the data, which again I'm very familiar with, is also flawed in a lot of instances and there us now way I'm trying to break this issue down fully on a rock bands message forum. So how on not providing a thesis and no I'm not having a 30 page debate about this. Mandatory minimum laws skew the sentencing results. Prior convictions usually are not factored into the sentencing disparages. Etc, etc, etc. And I provided FBI arrest data for the last year that was available, sorry it doesn't fit your narrative so you think it's bad data? Lol
I'll be staying out of here a while... it's the same group of people chasing each other around harassing and ganging up on people they disagree with... people have PM'd me to thank me, and the lack of folks coming to your support is telling... I've been watching it a while but now decided to say something... have fun stewing in your own toxicity and biting the head off anyone that disagrees, I'm sure I'll be labeled a racist for my lack of white guilt
Want to talk about racism, let me drop you off in a neighborhood 5 minutes from here and let's see how that data helps you... trust me when I tell you that you would be targeted just because of the color of your skin and would likely have a few issues, if you fucking made it out. You would be the one targeted for demise lol
Anyway, you guys should go into the BLM store andvsupportbtgem by purchasing a coffee mug or baby onesie, I'm not stopping you or judging you.
Also, keep up the elitist schtick, call everybody racist, and get shocked again on election day, I don't give AF the country is a joke to me.
See you soon, I'll let you guys get back to following around unsung and harassing him. Peace.
I'll just leave this... the same "data" you're using to prove a systematic conspiracy to target blacks for demise, show HUGE disparity in the same areas between how men & women are treated in the CJ system... so does that prove men are being systematically targeted for demise? Um, of course not. It may show some level of bias, but bias is not the same as "systematic targeting for demise"... anyway, I've already wasted enough of my life going in circles with you guys, take it easy out there in the lilly white suburbs, I'm going to go discuss this with some of my black colleagues who work in the justice system, keep staring at the freshman year data lol

Every "murder committed by blacks" data point comes from the data that includes all of the above, including the fact that innocent black people are 7 times more likely to be convicted of murder than innocent white people.
Look at better data.
If you're seriously going to try to use the "Obama got elected; that proves that systemic racism doesn't exist" argument, then there's really no use talking to you.
Feel free to post any data on gender discrimination. That's not what we've been talking about here, so that's why it didn't get mentioned , but go ahead.

Also, I think someone here has never been to Canada and is talking out of their arse (which seems to be a pattern).
