I think a lot of people are consumed with standing in line for tour merch and then seeing the band live? Those of us who couldn't make the shows are geeking out on this.
I would be buying this as I was standing in line if I was at the show, lol.
Not a fan of artists that fall into "limited edition colored version" bullshit. Don't benefit the fans. Don't see the point other than to purposely want to be a part of and feed the collector-mentality (all about skinning your fans of more cash) and to get people to buy more.
There is no real reason for it other than cynical and ugly ones. Like purposely pushing pushing people into playing on slot machines.

I'm not sure why you're so angry about this. Posters are also "limited edition". The band hasn't been involved in too many "colored" vinyl.
Nobody is forcing people to buy this stuff, just like nobody's forcing people to play slot machines.
People also don't like to admit this, but the band does this stuff to make money. They have a payroll as well, people working for them, etc. Just because they don't "need" money, doesn't mean they're not going to have things available for the fans to buy. If they didn't need money, would they give everything to the fans for free?

Free merch! Free merch! Free merch! Free merch! Everyone say it together... Free merch! Free merch!
Don't see the harm in offering colored versions of this alongside a regular black release, when Pearl Jam do colored vinyl it's usually just a bit of fun, distributed at random. Only exception I can think of is the Coke bottle Ten, completely pointless, who honestly needed that or wanted it.
I'm hoping that it is the Kr SST cut pressed at MPO, that was in the EU versions of the Super Deluxe Sets, the US sets had the Wes Garland cut pressed at United. I have never heard Daniel Krieger's cut of this release, but I have liked what he has done with the reissue series.

It’s not the bands job to keep money in their fans’ pockets. It is, however, literally their job to produce and sell their music and related merchandise to the people that choose to buy it. The people who buy this stuff (like me) love shit like colored vinyl. Seems like a win-win to me; I get to keep buying something I really dig and they get to keep being rich ass rockstars. It’s a luxury to collect vinyl, not a necessity. If it’s not something that interests you, by all means, don’t buy it. The slot machine analogy is a bit dramatic.

I haven't said the band can't make money or release colored vinyl.

Shipping confirmation for me too. Fingers crossed it's colored. But either way I don't have it, so I'm looking forward to spinning it when it arrives regardless.
Got my shipping confirmation as well. Never had the Vs./Vitalogy box set, so looking forward to spinning this!

Why is this one only a partial show again? Something to do with the recording? A 27 song show cut down to 16. That's a lot missing.
The band's master of the show is missing three songs due to
technological limitations at the time. No multi-track master exists for
the three missing songs. I assume sixteen songs fit the double LP format quite well.
i have witnessed some performances. i have soaked up a lot of memories.
Damn!!! That's low odds of scoring a coloured set.... Hopefully one of them is on the way to Aus for me

If anyone gets a colored one - can you please share if there is a sticker on the outside? Would hate to open all 5 copies if I don't have to. I mean I already have one to spin...
