I ordered 5, I want me some coloured vinyl!

I’m kind of regretting it, but will be worth it if I get a coloured one.

So as a Newbury Exclusive will there be a limited run of the black vinyl as well? Just curious on how the value would hold on those if I were to pre-order 5. Thanks!
It was already released once, so I doubt the black vinyl will retain much value
I don't see any other versions released on Discogs - do you have a link? Thanks!
It was part of the versus/vitalogy super deluxe set

You can spread the extras around to your audiophile friends. Everyone appreciates a free record and you buy a little goodwill.

It might have made more sense to make 5 orders of 1 each even though you pay more for shipping. . They may randomize by order rather than volume. Just a thought.

newburycomics - @fallinjeremy the band/label have chosen not to release the manufacturing numbers. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Heard 6000 were made. Wish there were more then 100 of these “Boston Red Sox” vinyl.

I bought this a few years ago out of the used bin at a record store for $20, so I’m good.  Good luck to everyone on landing the elusive color vinyl.

Yeah, a 100 is insanely low. That picture is what most of us are going to see when we open our records. Maybe they're choosing not to release the numbers because they're just going to keep upping the pressing as long as they keep a steady flow of sales?

So this is a legit band release and not an 'import'? The band isn't on Epic anymore.

EDIT: Never mind. I see the annoucement now: https://pearljam.com/news/pre-order-live-at-the-orpheum-theatre-april-12-1994  B)

Least they could of done 500 or so. 100 is so low for a double live album colored vinyl.

I'm surprised the sale hasn't sold out yet, while offering 5 per customer.

I know the limit is supposedly 5, but there are ways to work around that. I want to really know how many some people are buying here to try and get the colored. My guess is a lot of people got 10. I only bought two, so my chances are slim.

My guess is that the pressing will be 5k, so you and all of the other people buying multiple copies will be looking to dump all of their extra copies. Face value or lower is what you should expect. That could all change if the whole pressing is a lot lower.
For sure. Nobody is making money on the black ones.

I really couldn’t justify buying 5 or 10 of this, just for a chance at getting a coloured version. I won’t be going for it as I have the Vs/Vitalogy box, but if I was I’d only buy one copy. I guess we’ll see how many black copies end up on the bay or in Lost Dogs...

Buying vinyl with the intent to resell, or at the very least have the value increase....is the music not the most important thing here?
How many purchases do we make around here that are driven by, 'what could this potentially net me in the future?'

If someone is only in it for the music, just pick it up in black. Limited colored runs are made to appeal to collectors.

I wonder if these were leftovers from the original run for the boxset, and a colored option was made to encourage people to buy them.  Who knows.

I'm surprised at how few posts this thread has. New PJ vinyl, I thought there would be more comments. I know this already came out with the VS boxset but I bet a lot of people don't have this, boxset was US only and fairly expensive and now out of print/ getting tricky to find for a reasonable price. Ive got the boxset but I bought 3 copies of this, I'll keep 1 and sell 2 on. I live in the UK and always have to pay import duty with Newbury so it's always better to buy multiple. I reckon I can shift 2 without losing £. 1 in 61 chance of getting the colored if you buy 1 copy.  I can't believe these haven't sold out.

I think a lot of people are consumed with standing in line for tour merch and then seeing the band live? Those of us who couldn't make the shows are geeking out on this. ;)

I'd agree with you there.  I passed on the box set because of the price.  But I'll rarely pass on live vinyl.  Just wait, when these ship there's going to be 20 "ISO colored Orpheum vinyl" threads.
