Not when I say it, and not when anyone I know says. And not when everyone outside of North America says it. Damn, you can barely go 10 minutes in the UK without hearing it. I understand what you're saying, but I'm sure you're also aware that that perception is completely coloured by simple cultural bias. The word doesn't actually carry a more intense anger and isn't actually more verbally violent. Not objectively, in and of itself.
