I couldn't agree more. Im glad im not alone.

Its miserable weather where I am today and this song fits perfectly in the rain because it is so cute. (That's the first time ive described a Pearl Jam song I like as cute) Its one of my favourites on the album but there is no point comparing to the other songs since it is so unique

I'm obsessed by this song. The sound is very unique and listening to the music I can just envision myself floating down to Earth in a parachute.

As far as the influence, I actually think it sounds (at times) similiar to All Those Yesterdays. (I understand Stone wrote the music for Parachutes. Who had the credit for ATY?)

yup, ATY was stone. i was surprised when i read ed wrote the lyrics, for some reason they felt like stone to me? maybe because of how it reminded me of ATY with that beatles vibe going.

I can't even TALK about this song, yet alone LISTEN to it without getting swept away with emotion.

Hands down this was my most aniticipated listen. I already knew it was gonna be one of my fav songs ever. I mean come on kids, do the math? Words = Ed...Music = Stone. THE DREAM TEAM! Described by many as a heart tuggin ballad!! All the signs were there! I knew it was love BEFORE listen. But even so....I was still not prepared for this!

The Gossard Greatness, like PEARL JAM, has extreme SUPER powers these days. They just keeps getting stronger and stronger. Mr. G did serious ovetime on this beauty and I can't praise him enough!!!!!! And excuse me? As if this gorgeous, Beatles-esque music alone ain't enough to make you cry a river...in comes these BEEEEEEEEEEAUTIFUL ass words?!?!? OMG!!!! Did you people READ these words!? COME ON!!!!!!!! It's too much! :( I'm gonna cry just thinking about em. And the WAY Ed's sings them? What in the HELL??? How he drops his voice~~>PARACHUTES...it drops, opens, comforts!! BRILLIANT & so insanely breathtaking. *brings the chills & tears and makes weakness in knees* Yes B...that last part is what really attacks me as well.

My first listen yesterday.... I cried the entire time through. No joke. The first chords had me teary eyed. haha. To build up for so long and then have it deliver on infiniate levels of ecstasy is just the greatest thing EVER!! A seriously overwhelmingly beautiful song. I couldn't help it. The beauty made me weep! Jesus this band is THE BEST!!!!!!! This fuckin power?! I mean????

With each listen, just like you said , more and more beauty shines through. This song is magic. A gorgeous, heart tuggin, romantic, radiant, hopeful, beautiful work of masterpiece art. Ok...I'm about to cry just typing all this!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe this song!!!! I was prepared to be in love but wow! Just like the album as a whole, my love for this beauty exceeds far and beyond and NOTHING...I repeat...NOTHING coulda prepared me for all this.

Ooooooh whoa...trust me bud, the waterfall of tears was unstoppable with COME BACK. I could not agree more. I was actually reading along with those heavenly lyrics and couldnt even SEE at one point because the heavy flow of tears had me temporarily vision impaired. At this point I'm afraid to listen to that one at work. ha! I'm gonna have to ease into that.

These 2 are definitely the ones that have made me the most emotional. With Parachutes the sheer beauty of it all is just TOO overwhelming...it just makes me cry so much! It's so beautiful it hurts almost ya know? Come Back definitely strikes a much more personal chord and had me crying SOOO, SOOO much too for totally different reasons! Both are such gorgeous standout tracks that just demand your heart & soul.
