^ Cheers, bud. A good bourbon and an even better reason for a pour.

I've been wanting to try the harder to get Michters but refuse to pay that type of price.  Pound sand, lol.

    How was this pour?

This one is good.  The Michter's US1 Unblended American Whiskey is amazing!

Good one.  Weller are my favorite (Blanton's too) non unicorn type bourbons.  I always keep some Weller 12 on hand and still working on my Weller full proof, which is super good.  Enjoy that 107...top notch.

    Damn, nice find indeed!
I haven't seen a bottle of Weller in the wild for years.  Then again, I also don't have any locally owned, high quality liquor stores near me.

Just for shits I went on Drizly to see if I could find something.
Saw a Weller Special Reserve.  Checked out.
5 minutes later the liquor store called saying they didn't have it.
    Doh!

Liars.  They back door sold it for 3 times the price.

If I ever see it on Drizly again, I'm going to call the liquor store directly and see if they can hold me a bottle.
It is a reputable store, but I could see how putting that up there, even if they didn't have it, would cause people to buy other stuff.
That or as you said, they got in a shipment and sold it for 3x the price.

Just checked, it's still listed on the Drizly site.  Bastards!

The store needs to reach out directly to Drizzly to get them to remove the UPC from their sytem.

I'm sure they know about it, and I'm also guessing that having that listed as available is getting the store a lot of orders.
When they called me to tell me it wasn't available, they asked if I wanted to replace it with something else.  And of course, I did.  LOL

Went into my local small spot near me a few weeks ago and asked if they had Blanton's to my surprise they did!

    I then asked how much?

    $90

    Keep it.

Walked out.  Won't be going there again.

$60-$65 is all it should be at retail.  Maaaybe $70 tops as some are starting to push their prices upward.  Luckily I can still get it for $60.

My wife is awesome. She got me a subscription to Flaviar and a bottle of Knappogue Castle Irish Whiskey for my birthday. I haven't tried a lot of Irish whiskeys, but I'm excited to try this one!

Yo Chris I’m answering this well after the fact. Take away the fancy grenade looking bottle and you have a good bottle of whiskey. It’s really not anything special taste wise. I’ve had my one bottle for about eight months and I will not be looking for another. I paid $55 at a total wine in CT.

And to the person who mentioned special reserve, that same store had it for $19 lol

It's a good bottle of whiskey that used to be 55-60.  That is a fair price point.  It's not worth 90...

Still is $60 retail. Just have to find them (not always easy). It’s a damn good bourbon for $60 in my opinion.

Will do. I have the welcome tasting box, but haven't yet had the time to sit down and enjoy it. Hopefully I will be able to find the time this weekend.
