I tend to agree, at least for me anyways. I went to both and loved it, but I would think something new is in order.  Hawaii would be epic and Ed does live there; so maybe it’s possible, although I don’t know what kind of venues they have there.
Also Mike has a house in So cal, so maybe there is a chance...

Hawaii would be great but when talking about April I would guess EV in S. Am

Yeah, Wrigley is not going to move the needle anymore.  Three shows and DVD.

come on, of course it moves the needle, but we already know for the most part it is coming. thats my point.

I'm only 30 minutes from South Bend. Maybe a trip to Notre Dame will suffice? Somewhere between a pub and Ireland.

Well it doesn't move the needle for me.  Would much prefer United Center.

Maybe before the euro leg, they’re gonna play some small venue shows in North America - 1,000-4,000 seat places, just to warm up. Maybe 10C only.

Maybe...but we've been together almost 9 years,  neither of us has traveled abroad and I'm a cheap ass. She's only expressed interest in travelling to Iceland and Ireland. She knows (thinks) I would be too cheap to book a trip and buy a ring at the same time. Figured that would be a great way to truly catch her off guard after being together for so long.

Next time you come through (on your way to Wrigley next August?), we ought to meet up at Greenbush for a brew, barbecue and cheese curds.

Sounds like a U2 announcement is coming tomorrow for May/June 2018. Problem is their tix are often non-transferrable too.

I think almost for sure they'll play Pinkpop next year, if so then that'll be on Saturday June 16th... hopefully 1 or 2 shows in Amsterdam in the week before that.

  • I need some dates first two weeks of July due to work. Fingers crossed it will be similar to 2012 and 2014

  • Had time today and went through some old European tours. With knowledge of past venues and tours, and some of Dimitri's much-appreciated hints, JUST FOR FUN I put together a potential route for the tour, with a few "stretches" thrown in as well. It turned out to be 15 shows total, in an order that makes sense geographically and somewhat historically. Thoughts or opinions from more experienced fans?
**Note: I mostly did not account for festivals (I am unaware of the realistic ones they may play).

Amsterdam x2 (Pink Pop), London, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Trieste, Rome, Milan, Valencia, Lisbon

Sounds like a great idea for a pre-Wrigley or pre-Grand Rapids show meet up spot in 2018.

Are you a ND fan as well?
