When was the 2016 Tour announced?...could give us an indication of when a North American Tour is announced...
January 19th I think. That was a spring tour though. 2013's fall tour was announced in July.
So if Pearl Jam play North America in say around September then it's quite possible that they might not announce it until maybe even May or atleast April...

I don't see them playing Monday of Labor Day Weekend... that definitely feels like a Fri/Sun...
Would love an announcement soon
I'll take anything at this point.
But, playing Labor Day Weekend would suck for traveling. Plus, i would expect Hotel prices to be very expensive, and Hotel prices in Boston are already expensive as it is.
I hope a US announcement doesn’t lead to Amsterdam 2 being lost in the wind

Thats why I didn't go to Fenway last time, the hotels were crazy priced. It would have cost me a $1000 for like 3 days if I recalled correctly

So JA in the Powell interview said he is writing but didn't specify it was with Pearl Jam, could be RNDM stuff or who knows... If they are just writing in December, recoding and mixing etc would make for a 2019 release, not 2018. Lightning Bolt was written/recorded in 2011/2012 and wasn't released until Oct 2013
That said, they haven't recorded since then, and they had lots of time and space. Maybe they are much further in the process than Jeff lets on, or it is for RNDM, and the new PJ album is being mixed....but there has been very little smoke to any recoding rumours.
There may be a few new songs played live this spring/summer...but cant see a new record in 2018.

Just cause he was cryptic about who he was writing with, never want to assume...but its the first confirmation of new music from any of the band forever.
And on another note LB was delayed because the band took a year break to do other stuff in the middle of recording, delaying the release to late 2013. even if they are writing for the past month, doubtful it will be done until 2019.

That's why i did one show. I drove(6 1/2 hours, cuz of TRAFFIC) up for the show, and then drove(just over 5 hours) back home right after the show. It was well worth it , though.

Stay outside of town and use the metro
I looked at doing that, and some of those places were expensive too. I find a couple of places that weren't too badly priced, but decided not to do that. Plus, i admit, if i can help it, not to use the metro when i travel for shows. If i can, i'd rather stay close to the venue where i can walk.

Still HOPE ther some Arena shows in the mix.
We got lucky and found a place right next to Fenway, just over the bridge for somewhere around 150-175. Can’t remeber exact price. We found it on one of those travel sites and it was a nice hotel. It was only a 4 minute walk to the park, if even that.
Ummm...am I missing something here on these Ballpark shows? I know rumors our rumors but it sounds like that it is becoming more concrete that you think this will happen and our thinking that they will announce it within the next 30 Days? I know Dimi is pretty accurate but just dont want to get my hopes up>>>any proof>>>? If this is true, I'm all in on Safeco! Holy Shit

Four whole years since Pearl Jam were in Australia
Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014
I really hope the Safeco shows happen. I moved out to Seattle in 2014 and have not had a single PJ show here in that entire time!
I think we'll get our hometown show(s) this year. Safeco seems to be a pretty strong rumor, so keep your fingers crossed. I'd love to be able to see Pearl Jam without having to fly to another state for a change.
seems to me all rumors have been started by Dimi at this point. So really, any hype around these strong rumors have been self generated only by us. I would like to hear something from another outlet myself. Cause if Dimi is wrong, we really have nothing at all.
