Is this to encourage sharing? I don't think I get it
Doesn't change how it'll taste but seem like it might take a lot longer to eat and to get cheese all over. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
^Good questions. Like Indifference, I also have eaten the majority of pizza in my life this way. Thin crust and square cut. Most people hear Chicago pizza and think you need a spoon to eat it, but this type is much more common. Anyway, here’s the background story from Google...
“This is often referred to as Tavern Cut, Chicago cut or party cut. It originated from Tavern owners who would put free pizza out in the bar. By doing so the guys who stopped by the tavern after work could have a shot and a beer before heading home to eat dinner with their families.”

The pizza looks good but the cut is terrible. What the heck do you do with that “slice” in the bottom right hand corner?! It is like a half an inch across lol.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

^ Those corner pieces are just little snack bites lol. This cut was slightly on the smaller side, but pretty standard.0

That's when you can boast "I ate 12 slices of pizza and I'm not even full".This weekend we rock Portland0

The horror!!!Nah, but for the unfamiliar (at least, for me) it was funny to see.I would eat that pizza and like it, from the looks of it, but I would always question "why?" as far as function goes with the cuts like that. The love he receives is the love that is saved0

Another benefit of square cut is that it gives the option to not over indulge. If I’m eating slices, I’m eating a minimum of 2; maybe 3. That’s a lot of pie. And I’m not going to throw a half eaten slice back in the box. With squares, I can snag a few pieces and walk away without feeling like I gained 50 pounds. Or snack on a couple leftover pieces. Give it a shot sometime!0
