So I'm thinking the wall and ban is going to happen based upon this statement from President Trump...Don't let the fake media tell you that I have changed my position on the WALL. It will get built and help stop drugs, human trafficking etc.First the Ninth Circuit rules against the ban & now it hits again on sanctuary cities-both ridiculous rulings.See you in the Supreme Court!
Out of our very big country, with many choices, does everyone notice that both the "ban" case and now the "sanctuary" case is brought in the Ninth Circuit, which has a terrible record of being overturned (close to 80%).
They used to call this "judge shopping!" Messy system!
It is time to put #AmericaFirst ! Democrats used to support border security — now they want illegals to pour through our borders!0 -
Who is being ignorant? BS was asked if Trump had "dictatorial tendencies" and replied no. When called out on it, he said Trump would never be a dictator. He didn't comprehend the question. All CEOs act like Trump to some degree. How many send their body guard to deliver a poorly written termination letter to one of their key executives? Weak ass shit not to meet with him personally and explain his reasons why.tbergs said:
His leadership style has always been dictatorial. That's how he ran his businesses so of course that's how he wants to run the country. You don't just change based on the position you're in. If you can't recognize that, then your being ignorant to who he is as a person.Halifax2TheMax said:

This is not impeachable nor is it weak, it sends the right message - you got fired by the President.

I've never claimed Trump's firing of Comey was an impeachable offense. The director of the FBI serves at the pleasure of the president. However, the manner in which Trump fired Comey, IMO, shows how weak he really is. Can't look the man in the eye and tell him why he's being let go. Small hands, small balls. Weak.PJfanwillneverleave1 said:^^^

However I can't resist adding - there's this little thing called the First Amendment. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Freedom of the press definition. The right to circulate opinions in print without censorship by the government. Americans enjoy freedom of the press under the First Amendment to the Constitution.
The president (who works for the people) doesn't operate in a vacuum. He can't shut down press conferences. That's absurd.0 -

President Trump is not shutting down press conferences he would be holding them at intervals.

As a Canadian that is one thing I admire about American politics. You get briefings almost every day, your politicians have town halls quite regularly. We don't really have that here.tbergs said:

Ha. Is that what it speaks? We've been around the circle with respect to people using the phrase "hitler parallels". Nothing he has done has displayed "dictatorial tendencies "...nothing. You might not like his actions but they are not dictator-like. It is a stupid conversation. Unless you think he actively has a plan to become a dictator then discussing dictatorial tendencies is pointless. Is he going to cancel the elections? Is he going to make law without the approval of congress? All we have witnessed since the beginning of his presidency is a fully intact system of checks and balances. There are no tendencies except for the one's in your mind. There were people on the right who said the same about Obama...lest we forget. You sound just like them.rgambs said:

The OF is obviously, and almost comically, corrupt (both historically and now), but that by itself doesn't make him make him a dictator, but it does make his tendencies easier to spot.
The messages sent out on the twit-machine, read like translated communist propaganda from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, designed to distract, divide, and twist. These are just a sampling from the past 3 weeks. Read a few of them out loud.
James Comey will be replaced by someone who will do a far better job, bringing back the spirit and prestige of the FBI.
Republican Senators will not let the American people down! ObamaCare premiums and deductibles are way up - it was a lie and it is dead!
The Fake News media is officially out of control. They will do or say anything in order to get attention - never been a time like this!
The Democrats, without a leader, have become the party of obstruction. They are only interested in themselves and not in what's best for U.S.
I promise to rebuild our military and secure our border. Democrats want to shut down the government. Politics!
Canada has made business for our dairy farmers in Wisconsin and other border states very difficult. We will not stand for this. Watch!
The maddening continued use of bald faced lies from day one (the inauguration crowd size to all of the above mentioned tweets) makes him dictatorial.
The false demonizing of the established press (the people who call him on his lies, daily) makes him dictatorial.
His thinly veiled threats to the independent judicial branch, and to members of congress are dictatorial.
Issuing doubt about the he voting process being on the up and up is dictatorial
Making his potential appointees into reality show winners and losers is dictatorial.
The use of family as advisers is dictatorial.
Surrounding yourself with "yes men" is dictatorial.
Removing the head of the department investigating you for your corruptness is dictatorial.
Steven Miller said it best...“ Our opponents, the media, and the whole world will soon see as we begin to take further actions, that the powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned.”
His closest advisor Steve Bannon has publicly called for the destruction of the administrative state, a policy that the President has adopted, whether willingly or not. It's revolutionary in it's wanton disregard for what the US government is for and how it's supposed to work. Everything about it is wrong. This is his impeachable offense, his abuse of power.
Lastly...the rallies where only his supporters are let in is dictatorial. Who does that? Oh yeah...

You forgot to include having your thug of a body guard remove members of the press for asking questions you don't like and the arrest of a member of the press for asking questions of one of your cabinet ministers. It's brilliant. Also avoiding press conferences all together. It's brilliant. And shows a lack of balls.Tiki said:The OF is obviously, and almost comically, corrupt (both historically and now), but that by itself doesn't make him make him a dictator, but it does make his tendencies easier to spot.
