Annoying/sarcastic/arrogant/smug behaviour is "How To Ensure Someone Doesn't Give You The Time of Day 101", regardless of whether it's been done by an opponent before; and in fact, if you loathe that behaviour in an opponent, why would you want to be a participant in it? Just because I am justifiable in saying or doing something, doesn't mean I should.

Maybe it's my inner hippie, but I just can't understand the incessant need to come out on top/have the last word/fight for fighting's sake, when the absolute best case scenario is that nothing comes of it at all.

I'm not thinking the majority of Trump supporters will ever stop supporting Trump. In fact, even when it is all said and done... they'll never even come to understand the long term effects and consequences of his actions when they begin to manifest themselves- they'll naively point to the administration of the time and blame them (much like many did with Obama- conveniently forgetting Bush's disastrous terms and the messes he made).

It's in my character to persist. I wish I could look at some posts... think to myself, "Wow. That's really stupid" and ignore it... but I can't.

I know what you're going to respond with: address it... but with a degree of tact. This requires greater effort and given what I wrote in this same post earlier... some aren't worth such efforts in my mind- they wouldn't appreciate the time and it wouldn't make a difference. I'm just not a big enough person to persist with the higher road- I'm old and have lost patience for doing so.

Who said that was in jest? The right wasted countless hours and dollars investigating emails & Benghazi only to come up with nothing. The entire purpose was to slander Clinton, which the voters on the right were too blind to acknowledge.

This rift you speak of is not of the left's design. The right brought this upon themselves and I will remind them at every opportunity how they were played for a bunch of rubes. Anyone who voted for Trump because emails is a useful idiot and should be treated as such.
