If we are talking about the hardcore who are publicly open about their support, those numbers are where I would expect them to remain, but how many are there that still support him and the "republican" party who will still vote for and with him? I think that number is still bigger than many will admit. I believe he could still carry 40% of the vote in this country, which is absurd, but not implausible. I suspect he would lose the popular vote by a much wider margin, 6 - 10 million, but those are already states he lost anyway. It is far more nuanced then that. The majority believe Obama contributed to a bipartisan failure. They believe the GOP failed them during the Bush years. They believe Obama failed them during his time. The Republican primary voter nominated Trump to demonstrate the complete rejection of the GOP that failed them. Trump then won the presidency by picking up historically blue states that rejected the Democratic status quo.
