    a buddy of mine did too. Cruise Paradise. He kept badgering me to go to her shows in the mid afternoon at all these dives "to play pool"...she was trying to convince him to quit his job and become her "house manservant" because she made so much money (that she apparently thought would cruise her right through to retirement). It was bizarre. I kept asking him "you don't feel weird about all these guys seeing your girlfriend naked, including me, 4 times a day?". He did not feel weird about it.

    I think this is where people are underestimating things.  Among my liberal friends and those into politics sure.  For my apolitical friends that vote or for republicans, I don't think that anti Trump sentiment is anywhere near what it once was. Like I said in the previous post, if Biden and Co do clean things up before '24 I agree with you that Trump won't be a problem.  We will just have to see how it goes.

    The other folks are the ones I mentioned trying to forget Trump right now. But if he is running again, they will have no choice but be inundated with images of a twice impeached president botching and politicizing a pandemic, refusing to admit defeat, and then failing to essentially, overthrow our democracy. Advantage: whoever is running against that guy. lol
    You have more faith in the American people than I do.  In my opinion many people will view a constant barrage of negative trump ads as mudslinging and dirty politics.  Again, we will see.  Based on the ongoing voter suppression campaigns and the likelihood of R's gaining a majority at midterms I just don't have the belief it will be as cut and dried as you seem to think.   I am glad however that you seem to have a very positive attitude to the whole thing. I'm more of a doom and gloom plan for the worst type myself when it comes to these matters.
    Didn't you also really believe Trump was going to win last year?

    The one point in your post that I think we have to be most concerned about is the voter suppression stuff and new bogus laws that have come into place the last year. That is why I have been saying that saving our democracy trumps literally any other issue right now. Without safeguarding that, nothing else matters.
    Yes I did think he would win, and he almost did.  I know record votes for Biden blah blah blah.  The point is it was much closer than it should have been.

    And yes we are in agreement, if voting rights aren't secured before '24 get ready to be a right wing oligarchy in perpetuity.

    Several years ago I did tax returns for a stripper.  I think I did them two years in a row and then she either moved away or went somewhere else.

    She made decent money...about $60K I think.
