    We have a very vocal couple of Canadians here who support Trump, but they are in the minority.


    A major Pew Research survey released on Monday found that just 43 per cent of Canadians hold a favourable view of the U.S., with 51 per cent holding an unfavourable view.

    The rise of Trump has almost certainly caused the precipitous fall. Under Obama last year, 83 per cent of Canadians had confidence in the president to do the right thing in world affairs. Under Trump this year, it is a mere 22 per cent.

    What a gomer.

    He's so insecure over the scathing criticism he's faces (for just cause I might add)... that he obsesses over it. He's always been used to ticks and leeches telling him how great he is and now he's under the microscope and in another dimension where he daily: calls out news agencies as fake; gloats over his Hilary victory; and bashes Obama given how poor he compares to him.

    I think he thought if he became president that everybody would gush over his greatness like parasites have always done and it would be awesome. I'm of the opinion he hates his life right now. He can't even squabble domestically: his wife has seized this opportunity to abandon him outside of the necessary and obligatory presidential/wife public moments demanded of her.

    Poor Donald. Sitting on his couch in his monogrammed robe, boobies sagging, hair holding fast on his bald head, and wringing his tiny little orange hands while seething over the negative press that rocks his world.

    He doesn't stop because this whole fake news campaign is extremely deliberate. It is his primary goal, clearly, to erode public trust in the news media (except for the real fake news - he likes that), so that any time the news media reports on how horrible and/or ridiculous he is (so every single day), people won't believe the reports. Also to make sure that the news media is in a constant state of defense, and to set his administration up to grow state-run media; they are poised to do so, it's just a matter of time. It's also by far the most dangerous part of it. It is the only thing that will ultimately keep him in power and allow him to do crazy shit that is bad for everyone without so much opposition that he can't fight it. I hope more people stop treating it more like a crazy joke, and start taking it as the extremely dangerous and serious issue that it is. I feel like even those who are really keeping an eye on this aren't taking it seriously enough or doing enough to counteract it, and that includes the news media. It seems to me like most people still think that it won't work at the end of the day. I'm sorry to say that I think they are very, very wrong about that.
