He is coming to MN tomorrow and moved his event from the Rochester airport to a private manufacturing plant because the city wasn't going to let him exceed the 250 person limit. The COO for the steel plant said they are expecting 25,000 people tomorrow...riiiiiiight.

That article seemed a little ridiculous to me. A hundred celebrities can promise to leave the country every election and none ever do. Trump says it was and he’s a flight risk.

he has legal/freedom motivation to do so. celebrities saying it in 2016 was just them whining about trump being president. quite different.

Kerry was my first Dem vote in 2004. I might have voted for McCain if he wouldn't have selected Palin.
I would not have voted McCain, but sans Palin I would not have been so concerned (except for McCain's penchant for solving problems with soldiers). But to think Palin would be a breath from the presidency was pretty scary...until Trump. He's Palin x12.
Actually I remember telling my mom that I couldn't vote for McCain because, at the time, he was talking about going to a flat tax which I found as both a threat to my income and just plain stupid. But Palin was the icing on the cake. I understand why he did it (had to...he was so far behind in polling they needed a "game change") and I he admitted later that it was a mistake.
I'm a little late to this conversation.
The movie "Game Change" was on cable a few nights ago. Woody Harrelson plays Steve Schmidt who was McCain's campaign manager in that election and largely responsible for the Palin pick. By the movie's tell, he grew to regret it by the end of the campaign because of what Palin unleashed among the far right. It was interesting to watch that movie in light of Steve Schmidt's role now in the Lincoln Project.

I think it’s very slim. The only reason some haven’t ruled it out is because of what happened 4 years ago when they did.

The question is, is there a realistic chance he loses? The difference is going to be the mail in votes not getting in time on in a few key states.

I would amend that to be that the difference could be the mail in votes not being counted in a few key states.
We should be focused on counting every vote. Instead the shitheads are working overtime to invalidate as many of those mail in votes as possible, using each crazy state rule book as best they can.
It is a total travishamockery that we do not have a consistent rule to allow people to make sure their votes are counted with mail in voting, period, but especially in a year where large gatherings could be dangerous to the health of people.

it's the responsibility of the voter to know the laws of their region. they've all had plenty of time to vote by mail to get it in on time. do repubs suppress the vote in many instances? of course they do. it's the only way they can win in many situations. but being able to count all the votes on election day makes sense to me.

In Minnesota the rule was changed yesterday. There were probably already votes in the mail that will now not be counted. This is not about voter responsibility. This is the federal courts putting its Thumb on the scale for their guy.

was it changed, or the current rules upheld? this is what mace was trying to determine. wasn't it the secretary of state the one changing the rules and the courts upheld the previous rule?
