I’ve no idea what to think but there are a lot that think Repubs are going to pull off a landslide sweep nationwide. Admittedly, a lot are delusional. Still has me nervous.
Yes that is the common theme I see....they are all using the #TRUMPLANDSLIDE2020 tag.
I know they are idiots but their confidence strikes fear in me.

After 2016, I'm not taking anything for granted or assuming anything is in the bag.
I'm more or less just holding my breath until next week.

I'm pretty sure its a very small minority that think that. Assuming about 40% of the country votes for Trump, you don't see 40% of the voting population saying that. Maybe a few cars on the road with a flag or bumper sticker I pass each week and a couple other people I know who use social media way too much, but that's about it.
Was 2016 a landslide? It kinda felt that way because it was obvious by about 8:00 Central that Trump was going to win. But it wasn't exactly Reagan/Mondale. This electiion is shaping up about the same.

Every election seems to be considered a landslide by someone. I'm sure lots on the right called it a landslide because he got I think 306 EC votes. And the left wouldn't call it a landslide because he lost the popular vote.
well it looks like a landslide only because it's winner take all. if it was only winner take what you won, so-called landslides would be few and far between.

Florida has been keeping a running count of received mail in ballots. That shizzit's gonna be announced WAY early.
As FL goes, so goes the rest of the Idiocracy.
florida will probably have a bunch of partially filled in circles that will get rejected. similar to the dimpled chads and hanging chads in 2000.
florida can't run a smoothe election even if they tried to.
I lived in Tampa in 2000. The ballot was jacked. They called it a butterfly ballot because how it opened. You couldn't align the left side (the office) with the name on the right.
Maybe my memory is off but didn't they used to separate president and vice president on the ballot? It was stupid to do that, but wasn't it like that? Or am I imagining this? Or maybe it's different in each state?
Edit: I guess I just made that up in my head. All google image search of ballots from recent years show the president and vice-president coupled as one. Not sure why I thought they used to be separate.

I think so and it might have even been state-by-state.
I think a few states have their Governor and Lieutenant Governor elected separately and sometime end up being from two different parties.

Yeah my memory is pretty fuzzy on the whole thing. I thought it was the case, but I did some google image searches and couldn't find any ballots like that. For president at least, over the past 20 years.

There was nothing close to a landslide in 2016. It was actually one of the closest electoral college margins in the history of the country.
"Every election seems to be considered a landslide by someone?" Since when? I don't think this has ever been a thing until Trump, wrongly, started saying he won by a landslide in '16.
There has not been a landslide since 1984...maybe Bush in '88, I guess...

IF you want to be historical, the VP was the second leading EC gainer. I think Aaron Burr was the last VP to come in second (to TJ). After that, it became a ticket. Or at least around that time.

Kerry was my first Dem vote in 2004. I might have voted for McCain if he wouldn't have selected Palin.
