People would trust an administration like the current one to control their health care?

    Hard pass.
Yeah, people who don't have health care absolutely would.
I hate the guy as much as anyone, and I would gladly give him control of my health care if it meant I could actually get some health care.

Statement by Ohio Republican Gov. Mike Dewine reminding the GOP what LEADERSHIP looks like.
I'm sure they will turn on him soon.  Too much spine.
"I am deeply concerned by the anti-Semitic sign at Ohio’s Statehouse during a recent protest rally.  The sign was vile and disgusting. While even disgusting speech is constitutionally protected, it still demands condemnation.  The recent Internet post by Ohio State Senator Andrew Brenner, likening Ohio’s Department of Health Director’s actions to fight the corona virus to those taken by the Nazis in Germany during World War II, must also be condemned.  The comments showed a complete lack of understanding of the Holocaust -- made even more offensive by posting on Holocaust Memorial Day -- and was a slur on a good, compassionate, and honorable person who has worked non-stop to save lives and protect her fellow citizens.  Any complaints about the policy of this administration need to be directed at me.  I am the office holder, and I appointed the Director.  Ultimately, I am responsible for the decisions in regard to the corona virus.  The buck stops with me."

DeWine and Hogan (Rs) in particular have shown themselves to be good governors through this crisis.  Their citizens are their priority.

I do not agree with the majority of DeWine's political stances, but he is doing a fantastic job leading Ohioans during this Covid epidemic.

No shit. What do parasites do, they attach themselves to a host then suck or eat the life out of the host. Trump is doing just that to our country.

If there was life in shit, Trump would find a way to suck the life out of it. Now that's some shit right der.

His only failing so far was the bullshit stance that he wouldn't prohibit church services....and some mega churches did have service.  So ok to shut down business and threaten response if ignored...but church's get a "please" and no followup.  Such a hypocrite.  Be science based all the time DeWine.

Are you not even trying to comprehend what im saying? Im not advocating for the status quo.  Im advocating for a public health insurance option that allows a person to choose their corporate plan,  if it exists for them,  or a govt administered plan known as MEDICARE.  I get to stay on my private plan or choose a public one.  This will have the added benefit of forcing corporate plans to compete as well.

And you don't "give" anyone anything.  TNSTAAFL. Period.  Maybe I lack empathy in your eyes,  but I think you lack comprehension skills.
My comprehension is perfectly fine.. You are clear. And once again you refuse to answer the question.

If the care is the same... why would you rather pay more for a plan that covers less and has zero protection if you lose your job?

How long have you had your corporate job with that insurance plan? How'about the other people you've worked with for years...how long have they had it?

So let me get this correct.... for my comprehension !!!!!   You're okay standing on a plank? Okay with losing healthcare for you and your family and all those other people you've work with and their families at the mere whim of a Corporation?

Then again I guess it depends on the Corporation...right? The people stocking groceries at Corporate Giant Walmart don't even get the option to buy healthcare insurance through their employer... I just hope the corporation you work for doesn't; decide to do the same before you retire..

    1. How do you know I will pay more in corporate than gov't?  You don't know what I pay today, and you don't know what I would pay if I had a choice between gov't and private.  So your assumption is without credibility.  I fully expect a gov't program to drive down the cost of the corporate programs.  They will have to compete.  Gov't insurance wont' be free.

    2. I've been employed everyday of my life since I was 16 and change, uninterrupted.  The only time I didn't have insurance was when I was under 18, a minor.  My parents did not have insurance, so I didn't either.  For the second part of your question, I spent 15 years at a national bank.  Would you like me to list each person I worked with and their length of employment?  I could break into the bank's SQL database and extract that, and then concatenate with my current corporate data.  I'll post that to twitter for you.  Does that work?

    3. Your 'standing on a plank' statement. That question is nonsensical considering what I have said no less than 10 times.  If there is gov't and corp option, I may choose corp (after weighing the plans).  Then after I lost my job, I could go to the gov't.  Again, there must be a cognitive issue here because you ask questions and make statements that are disconnected from my oft repeated stance.

All the churches near me and to my knowledge city wide are shuttered forcing AA meetings out too. HOWEVER , there is one small church right around the corner that has opened their sanctuary for meeting space since its not being used and has enough room for appropriate distancing and even go so far as to provide lysol spray for the cloth seating and lysol wipes for surfaces we may touch.

Just harmless tweets? What an Administration. Deplorable enough?

In a series of tweets on March 12, Caputo responded to a baseless conspiracy theory that the United States brought the coronavirus to Wuhan, China, by tweeting that "millions of Chinese suck the blood out of rabid bats as an appetizer and eat the ass out of anteaters."
