Simply put, the rules just don't apply to Trump. I noticed this early in his campaign for the Republican nomination. The Democrats really need to come up with a strategy for 2020 because calling him out on his lies just isn't going to work. Really, since this has really become a reality TV show, the Democratic challenger in 2020 should make his or her case less about "Here's why I'll be a better president than Trump" and more about "Here's why you'd rather see me on your TV every day than Trump." The issues, the debates, and Trump's record (both in politics and in his businesses) just don't seem to matter to a large portion of the electorate.

She leveraged her Harvard job to foist garbage scholarship on a gullible media. And now she has leveraged all of that into a plum Senate seat, from which a multimillionaire Ivy League professor has recast herself as progressive populist heroine. 

this is from the article you posted, do you see the bolded part?  please read the Boston Globe article that shows that she didn't get into Harvard law school based on anything but her grades.  this article was not reporting but a hit job piece.  its fine to dislike a peron but i would say based in on fact that not opinion.

Harvard was touting that, so she obviously represented herself as such somewhere along the way.

I work with ignorant people like this who think Trump was made to look good by the Warren fiasco, but never mention the bullshit he said or promised. It's insane. They think the reality is the BS Trump has spewed, but not the proven lies that break down exactly why he is the one who is the ass.

Even my supervisor caught me off guard yesterday when he referred to a request for a new process as being "Kavanaughed" because people would be able to make up something that no one could prove just to tarnish their name. Apparently I play the middle pretty well because he must have thought I would agree with that situation for some reason. I completely lost concentration after that statement.

People, this Warren issue predates Trump and, especially now, has many aspects that have absolutely nothing to do with him. Don't abandon your objectivity over everything that buffoon crassly weighs in on.

It didn't say she had NO Native American DNA. She released it to prove she had it. What? She released it to prove thug right? I'm thinking that's a definite no.

Yes, you are right, it showed that she has just about as much Native American DNA as any average American of European decent, lol.

Native American groups are offended at the notion of someone using a DNA test to tout tribal heritage. Their belief is that these Western companies use disputed migration patterns when establishing the "Native American" base that they're matching people back to. They feel this heritage can only be confirmed through the tribes themselves and it's a source of frustration when someone who is >98% white circumvents that. Around paragraph 5 of the Atlantic article I'm linking below touches on this.

It's a free country, so anyone can say "Go Liz" and tell the Cherokees, et al. they're out of line. That just seems to be something I expected more from Republicans.

And then to check the Native American box on application too lmao.  Only thing I’ll accept on this one is that she was led to believe that she was Native American by her parents or something and she just ran with it.  What a dolt

I really think Warren could have easily nipped this in the bud a while ago with an apology. Something like:

"Growing up, my parents always told me I had NA heritage. It was my parents, so it never occurred to me to scrutinize it. As my career became one of public service it was scrutinized and I was surprised to learn it was much further back than I believed. I had no intention of manipulating anything or hurting anyone. If I did, I am truly sorry."

Instead she dug her heels in and is now waving around a DNA test. Huge mistake.
