I also think that Moore is being very mindful to keep the opposition galvanized and not falling asleep at the wheel with the "promise" of a blue wave.  

As long as more people are motivated and inspired enough to vote, this Trump movement will be taken down.  The first "finish line" is in sight in less than 2 months.  He doesnt want complacency, nor does he want people to underestimate those on Trump's side.

Well he was right last time...

But I don't see how any evil genius would do what he thinks (or at least says) Trump is doing.  If he wants to sway anyone, he needs to try to get a less chaotic picture of the White House out there.  The only reason I can think of for him to do this is to play some sort of victim card, but if that's the case it's hardly "genius" as that only works with his base, who will love (and vote for him) either way.   I'm not buying it.  Well except for the two-term part.  I still think that's where the smart money lies.

a broken clock is also right twice a day. I think Moore always leans to the side of "doomsday" and if he had been wrong, he would have happily admitted it, or taken some type of credit for warning people into voting. 

I think trump is far from genius. He acts like a complete idiot. 

I don't think any bets can be placed on 2020 until we know both hands.

Well I just found this email in my inbox, but when you click on the link to read the whole article, the "page cannot be found". Not sure wtf that means. But assuming this is true, it is more proof of what a fucking stupid jackass Trump is. He's clearly going to try and save himself by attempting to discredit literally anyone he can think of and try to make himself look like a victim. It won't work of course, but he's gonna try! ...... And yes, you're right.  Everyone knows he will selectively de-classify information.  I'm not sure it will make any difference at this point.  After all of the recent guilty pleas, indictments, etc., my hope is that the average American wants to see this play out in full.

You've convinced me...well not of the outcome...but that I do want to see the tapes come out. It will be fascinating to see what the GOP does about it.  They've defended a guy who's antics would have him fired from most jobs in America, who by his own White House's account is complete inept, who spouts outrageously childish nonsense almost daily.  He's blown several dog whistles about those SOB's in the NFL, "low-IQ" people, and "rapists."  And they support him.  They don't just support him, but they protect him...and try to protect him in the face of an investigation that has the potential to show legitimate treason.  And they do it for the 40%.  Because the 40% makes up three-quarters of their dedicated voters.  Very little of the 40% is going to care about an n-bomb from 10 years ago.  All that said, I acknowledge that while we in America have very little sense of nuance and sort of lean on "What's racist about that?" (white proverb), the n-word gets different treatment.  That's the one line you can't cross.

So if this does come out, it'll be interesting to see what the GOP does.  My guess: "that's terrible but I don't think that points to who the president really is.  Let's move on."  I don't see this really being the end of his protection.  Hell maybe it'll hasten the revocation of the 15th Amendment.

If I’m a dem candidate for house or senate and I get to debate my repub opponent, I’m going to ask them every chance I get whether they support pussy grabbing, white nationalism, philandering, serial lying and cozying up and offering aid and comfort to putin on the ritz, as your titular leader of their party does and if not, why haven’t you openly spoken out and condemned it? Have you no sense of decency? That’s my debate strategy right there, and I’d hammer, hammer,hammer them with it. Might even ask if they consider themselves “Christian.”

Absolutely.  This is the way to get in the mud.  Bring out the stuff our politeness makes taboo at the office, in the gym, and at barbecues.   For those that don't like this stuff (and I am fearful it's not that many), they've been able to essentially suppress it.  Throw it at them.  These elections are about two things, in order, character and the economy.  Middle-of-the-roaders believe the latter is doing very well.  Go after the former.
