Mueller’s Team Gathered ‘Alarming’ Trump Obstruction Evidence: Washington Post

    The Washington Post
has backed up the New York Times report from late Wednesday that some members of Robert Mueller’s team have said the special counsel report is much worse for the president than was suggested by Attorney General William Barr. In its report, the Post goes a step further, claiming some members of Mueller’s team have complained to close associates that they gathered “alarming and significant” evidence of obstruction by President Trump. “It was much more acute than Barr suggested,” one source is reported to have said.

    And water is wet.

It will all eventually come to light, I hope.

I wasn't surprised at all that Barr (appointed by Trump for this very purpose) stated everything to benefit his boss. I'm also not surprised that Trump is taking a victory lap saying he's been "fully exonerated" even though Barr himself said that the findings did not fully exonerate Trump from the obstruction charge. Such a shitshow and an absolute embarrassment.
But where are all the law and order repubs that went after both Clinton’s and Obama relentlessly. Ahhh, obstruction of justice? No big deal, I guess.

Shouldn't Mueller himself be the one saying that his report is more damaging to Trump that Barr has revealed? I guess Mueller is just waiting to be subpoenaed to testify...which seems more "by the book" than members of his team leaking information.

Politico had a good article a few days back that compared the Mueller report coming out to when the report on Nixon came out and things are still playing out almost exactly.

I think it speaks a lot to Mueller's credibility that he is letting the legal wheels of justice slowly bring this along to the proper conclusion. There are very few people who could have handled this investigation the way he did.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    Based on what?

The mythologisation of Mueller has been interesting to follow

Considering everything, that's kind of a very minor concern isn't it?

I know if I worked 2 years on a 400 page report and a Trump flunky miss-represented it with 4 page summary and the media and Trump ran with only that I would be a little hot under the collar.

They aren't really leaks either, more rumblings.

Anyone here buy a pencil neck Adam Schiff t-shirt yet? I like the light blue color myself but am holding out to see what other hues they do.
Nah, I'm waiting for the camel toe neck t-shirt to come out. In pink. Let me know if you come across one.

Obviously, we knew Barr was going to sugar-coat things.  So when some of Mueller's team say that the report is worse, I believe them.  Call me naive, but if Mueller really had a "smocking gun" I don't think that Barr would have just said "meh, witch hunt."  I'd be stunned if this was any more than circumstantial evidence already reported that makes both sides say "see!" and, more importantly, keeps the GOP firmly all-in on Donald J. Trump.

Suckered? You're still holding out for the fruit from the poisonous tree, professor? How many indictments, pleas and convictions? And the coverup continues.Remember Nixon's tax return? Understated his income by $1MM and ended up having to pay the IRS, while in office. Team Trump Treason is likely doing the same but "you're okay with that." As well as being okay with obstructing justice, abuse of power and telling 22 lies a day. "Fully exonerated." You've been suckered. And those sources? Not so anonymous, members of Team Mueller's investigative team. 28-9.

Funny how the goal posts have moved from collusion to taxes and obstruction

What happened to the Donny Jr and Jared indictments? We ended up with Manafort on tax issues well before Trump, and goofy Roger Stone for talking to Wikileaks about worthless Podesta emails... thats it for the crime of the century? zzzzzzzz

The plot just thickened on William Barr and the Mueller report

The previously leakproof Mueller team is suddenly sprouting leaks, which suggests it's truly worried about what Attorney General William Barr is doing.

Shouldn't Mueller himself be the one saying that his report is more damaging to Trump that Barr has revealed? I guess Mueller is just waiting to be subpoenaed to testify...which seems more "by the book" than members of his team leaking information.

I don't really disagree, but at this point, I'd rather just hear from Mueller.
I agree. We should have only heard from him, cut out the middle man Barr.
Yeah unless Mueller was recommending indictments, I don't really see any reason for the AG to be involved in this process at all.

Funny how the goal posts have moved from collusion to taxes and obstruction

What happened to the Donny Jr and Jared indictments? We ended up with Manafort on tax issues well before Trump, and goofy Roger Stone for talking to Wikileaks about worthless Podesta emails... thats it for the crime of the century? zzzzzzzz
If you looked back with an unbiased eye, you’d see that many people here have been talking about obstruction and financial crimes for months.

From the beginning, most of have said it was financial. The obstruction came later as Trump opened his stupid mouth over and over again.

Collusion we knew was an almost impossible thing to prove.

But that doesn't fit with some peoples narrative to rail against the AMT echo chamber.

You're okay with obstruction, we get it. In fact, you seem okay with all of Team Trump Treason's transgressions, even though you claim not to support him and prefer Uncle Joe. Interesting. "Worthless Podesta emails?" Stolen, worthless podesta emails, I might add. "Russia, if you're listening..............and you're okay with it.

The bar is so low for this administration that a failed attempt to collude with a foreign adversary is considered a nothing burger.

    No big deal.
