his administration is essentially over now. it is paralyzed. he does not have the political capital to ram through his agenda. all he can do is sign executive orders, which can be overturned by any subsequent president. he is playing defense now. the american people have had enough of him. he is polling at 38% approval rating. obama was polling in mid 60s at his first midterm election and he lost 60+ seats.

the republicans will have to abandon trump because he will be so politically toxic to everyone running for re-election. it is not worth risking their seats to help him.

soon trump will be the loneliest man in the country. he will lose everything. his presidency, his businesses, a lot of his fortune. when this is all over he may not even have a wife to go home to.

Special prosecutor? I'm so excited they pulled him out of the basement and appointed the right man for the job, a man who can not be bought.

I can't be the only one who keeps hearing his name.

    this year.

unfortunately, we gotta get pence, too, because he just may be able to push thru some of the repub's despicable agenda.

in a way, I'd prefer 4 years of the trump circus where he accomplishes nothing.

it is a beautiful thing to watch a man ruin all that he has inherited/built. very sad, but at the same time, all he had to do was keep his mouth shut. and maybe not run for president. ok, maybe run for president, but try to shut the fuck up about things that could potentially ruin him.

Nixon would have been impeached but resigned. The Republic survived. Is it worth it to pursue impeachment? Absolutely. Our founding fathers set things up for a reason. The Dems will recover. Pence won't get elected in 2020. At the least, the pendulum swings back toward the center. And with Pence, you can actually have a debate on the merits of the policy and at the least have a democratic process, letting the chips fall where they may. Trump doesn't understand the democratic process. Only authoritarian fiat.
    ......yet here we are.

I'm not saying abandon the impeachment, I'm asking that we split our time between that and trying to better ourselves. Maybe 50/50? Hell I'd settle for 75/25 at this point becuase right now it's 100/0. Could we just try out 75/25, and if Trump starts becoming a dictator then we could go back to 100/0? Is that really asking so much?
i agree.  the obsession with donald trump around here is weird.  you have a bunch of radical liberals, and the only thing they discuss day in and day out is The Donald.  and most aren't Americans. Thats the other weird part.
In our defense, the radical conservatives did the same thing for the past 8 years.
    With 1/100000000th of cause.

    Kenyan/Muslim?  really?  what else?

because in the first 100 days there are actually 100's of legit reasons to want Trump gone

And Greg Valliere, the chief global strategist at Horizon Investments and a leading voice on politics and the markets, said that from a purely political standpoint Trump probably has enough Republican support to survive should an impeachment vote happen.

"To convict, it would take a two-thirds vote in the Senate, a very high bar to clear, since the Republicans have 52 seats,"

If the evidence is concrete, any republican voting against impeachment might as well say goodbye to their political career.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I said that same eslewhere why he just won't STFU. Especially, when this president is NOT from the political realm. He's from a business background and you just can't run this office likes it a business. DJT dug this deep foxhole with his own

He sure has a hard on for the Russians who at this moment are all probably laughing their asses off at us and the chaos they've helped caused in this country.

    Odds are falling for impeachment.
    21/10 for 2017
    6/1 for 2018

I was going to lay a bet on 2018 but I though the odds would be better.
