Facts and common sense are two things that have been eliminated in a large portion of the country thanks to 45's constant misdirection and lies. You can say an obvious fact to a true Trump supporter, or a member of the present administration, and they will tell you that it's fake news. It is actually terrifying and that is why people are 'obsessed' with focussing on important actions by 45 and try to ignore the cloud of crap that rains down on us every day. This is not normal, it is becoming accepted as normal and that is something that people who care about this country are fighting against. If we laugh about toilet paper on occasion it is because the intensity he has created needs to be deflated with some humor.
No argument can make me accept that what has occurred over the past two years is in any way just a normal Presidency. It is not so much my 'hate' of Trump (who has always been a despicable human being) or the fact that a Republican is in office - that is a time when people will be offended, or like, certain policies and true debate can occur. There are times when the President you did not support brings the country together and you are proud of them. This is not like that at all. Trump never rises to the occasion of being the President of the entire country - not once.
And the heavily redacted Mueller report drops on Holy Thursday and the beginning of Passover - just a coincidence I am sure. It should be available today. I'm sure it is ready, just not a good time to make it disappear over Easter weekend and Passover.
And people who worked with Mueller have said that no decision was made so that Congress, not Barr, could weigh the good and bad of the information. But it's just another day in this presidency that ignores the Constitution and co-equal branches. And people have stopped caring that these affronts to our democracy happen every day, in plain sight. That is what makes people so focussed and obsessed - if you stop paying attention to what's important then it all just becomes a jumbled mess. And people begin to believe everything that the man tweets and only what he tweets. That's not a democracy. That's a dictatorship.
The sky isn't falling as long as people are vigilant about the dismantlement of our still young democracy. It is in a perilous time. Silly statements ignoring what is staring us in the face are just more propaganda. Everyone has an opinion but facts are facts and when that becomes something to debate then it is just like being on a Twitter feed trying to reason with a troll - wounds the soul and wastes ones time.
i do not think my opinion is more important than any other person on here. I am just damn passionate about keeping us focussed because this is serious and it is not normal. It is not normal. Being told that it is just another day is mind blowing to me.
Now let's see how many pages actually are readable out of the 400 page report when it drops on Thursday. And Trump is already writing a counter narrative - how is that possible when he hasn't seen the report. I mean Barr said he didn't see it so we should all believe that, right?0 -
