    Couple of things.. 

    1. It's going to be appealed.  
    2. The original ruling, which is continuously upheld, identified national security as a reason where someone may not be compelled to testify.  However, I would think a closed door initial depo would overcome that.  However, Kupperman's attorney has also argued that McGahn's case may not be binding to his because of the national security angle.  
    Didn't the wording of McGahn's lawyer's statement indicate that he might testify sooner than later though? Something about the court issuing a "stay?"
    A stay is basically an injunction,  preventing the order from taking effect. He basically said they would honor the stay.

    right. but it seems to me for purposes of the impeachment inquiry, specifically Boltons knowledge of any of this Ukraine business,  is outside the scope of actual national security implications.....
    One would think.  If Bolton wanted to testify,  I think he could.  If he didn't,  he could point to this carve out.

    I'm just thinking of if the democrats don't get Bolton to testify and he's not convicted, which is likely.....the odds are high that another impeachable offense is right around the corner.
