I think they should just go ahead trying to invoke the 25th myself.
    on what grounds?
On the grounds that he's not of sound mind. I personally feel that there is plenty of evidence pointing to that, and that is only what he does publicly. Imagine all the evidence added from behind closed doors.
he hasn't done anything in public that amounts to anything close to what would be required under the 25th.

if he wasn't of sound mind, he wouldn't be capable of putting a cap on his behaviour simply because he's in public. I doubt he acts any differently at all behind closed doors.

Well whoever wrote that insider's letter to the NYT seemed to think the 25th could be invoked and said that it had been considered, but it hasn't been done because nobody has the balls to do it ....

I'd have to read the text of the op-ed again, but I don't recall there being any bombshells or really any concrete details, just a whole lot of potential hyperbole.

and one letter by one person. take any number of bosses, and you will have at least one person who will have a wildly different view of how that person conducts themselves in a professional setting and how competent they are.

one letter by one person amounts to zero.

People like to throw around the “he’s crazy, he’s delusional!” stuff all the time. No, he’s not; he’s a liar, and it’s working out well for him. I don’t see any sign that invoking the 25th has any chance of success.

There is close to zero percent chance of the 25th amendment at this point. The time for that was a couple years ago when more competent people occupied his cabinet....and it was a huge long shot then too. Nothing but yes-men at this point...

agreed. he plays to the audience, which is what he's always done. he's incredibly inexperienced and has no knowledge of how to deal in the political realm. he is going to be a failure as a president but he's an incredible success as a first time politician.

why does it appear there is no smoking gun? he hasn't even released the report yet. it's not like they are going to storm the doors of the oval office and put him in cuffs.

If there was anything major found, it would have been leaked. You honestly think that over 2 years of investigating that Mueller would be able to keep everything under wraps? If there was collusion many people would know about it and someone would have the evidence and be willing to talk.

I've asked this question 100s of times to people, How did Russia make you vote for Trump and would you want to change your vote because of the Russians? Not one person has told me how or yes.

Trump is not getting impeached, hes not resigning. And if the Democrats keep heading down the same road he will get re-elected.

I mentioned the letter just to suggest that those who actually work with Trump think he could qualify under the 25th amendment (I believe the letter did say multiple people felt this). But again, that statement in that letter is backed by by oodles of observable behaviour, both public and private, suggesting it would indeed be a legit option if only anyone had the guts. Also note that I didn't think this would happen. I just said I think it should.

I think he is all of the above. He is crazy, delusional, untethered from reality at times, emotionally erratic, confused, forgetful ... and he plays to the audience, is inexperienced, ignorant, amoral at best (I would say he's immoral myself).... and so on.

In all fairness, Hugh, I think what is alleged is propaganda from Russian bots, and someone that was influenced by it wouldn't be consciously aware that they were.

That said, I also have a bad feeling that Mueller isn't going to have anything that could take Trump down. At least as far as Russian interference in the election goes. His business ties there may be a different story though.

I agree with that. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be invoked. Just that it won't be.

Pretty much. Or nothing significant. The only thing that can take down Trump will be financial violations. People think Mueller is some sort of God. If there was anything significant, we would have heard it or strong rumors.

Team Mueller isn't finished yet, not even close.

They don't even know they were influenced by Russia and if they realized it, they're too embarrassed to admit it. They think they were influenced by "Mary," 20 friends separated from a Faceturd (or Twitter, Instgram, Snapchat, etc.) friend they know in real life. And it wasn't about voting for Team Trump Treason, it was about voting "not Hillary" or not at all. putin on the ritz's operation was not a "vote changing" operation, it was a "vote suppression" and pump up Team Trump Treason and sow seeds of doubt about Hillary operation, particularly amongst the dem base/Bernie Bros and indies. And it worked beautifully, Brexit having been the dry run. You've seen examples of it right here on these boards.

    No.

You missed it, I'm not the smartest guy in the room.

    https://www.dni.gov/files/documents/ICA_2017_01.pdf

Overall, whites with a four-year college degree or more education made up 30% of all validated voters. Among these voters, far more (55%) said they voted for Clinton than for Trump (38%). Among the much larger group of white voters who had not completed college (44% of all voters), Trump won by more than two-to-one (64% to 28%).
