Halfway through the Wild Wild Country docuseries. Very interesting. I was born just before the hotel bombing, so I had no knowledge of any of this. With as much national media attention that it got, it's surprising I never heard it mentioned, even in passing.

I'm hearing really good things/reviews on the show Beef. Gonna have to check it out soon.

halfway through this and I'm liking it a lot. Also pretty good soundtrack. Two lead characters are good, Steven Yeun (Glen from Walking Dead) and Alli Wong. Some of the side characters are pretty interesting stuff going on as well.

Finished Beef. Really enjoyed it. Ending was kinda predictable but overall very good. Looking forward to see what next season has in store.

Holy fuck latest ep of Yellowjackets. It is certainly something, and deserves its own thread (with major spoiler preempts).

Just finished "Pepsi, Where's My Jet?" I thought it was an interesting documentary. I remember the advertisement, but never knew anybody actually went that far with it. My only complaint is that it probably could have been condensed into a 80-90 minute film instead of a 4 part series.

Absolutely. This was so drawn out and stupid that I now compare every Netflix documentary to it. They told the story of Waco and the Branch Davidians in three episodes. But it took four episodes to tell this goofball's story? It was ridiculous.

Started watching Designated Survivor a few days ago. I didn't think I'd like it, which is why I'm about 5 or 6 years behind on this, but I'm really liking it.
Never gave 24 a chance, kind of want to watch that now too.

I liked season 1 of Designated Survivor. They lost me 3 or 4 episodes into S2. I didn't even realize Netflix picked it up until just recently. Unless I just run out of things I want to watch, I won't be coming back to this one.

I tried as well, got half way thru 1st season and didn't watch anymore. I didn't think it was anything special. Like you mentioned HFD, I heard it was such an amazing series and that's why I gave it a go, i wasnt really impressed by it

I finally gave it my all last year, and actually nearly finished the series... and yeah, it was okay but not great. There wasn't anywhere near enough unpredictability in it. It was the same thing over and over again, with a little spin on the specific circumstances. And really, the level of incompetence/ease at which that government agency was constantly breached and always had moles... it should have been dismantled after the first season, haha.

my wife and I watched a few episodes later when I was trying to get my daughter to not watch the same thing over and over again, and you guys are right; in 2004, we thought it was edge of your seat amazingness. But now, it seems a little dated and absurd. I mean, we knew at the time the absurdity of how many people working for counter terrorism ENDED UP WORKING WITH THE TERRORISTS, but because it was so good, we let that slide a bit.

I'd say season 1 and 2 are amazing. The final seasons were kind of duds. the reboot was awful.

That might have been part of my issue with it....I waited too long to start watching it. I had already seen all the SNL skits making fun of it, etc., and it just didn't hit me as all that believable.
