I'm at saturation point. I still buy new stuff at the shows I go to, and new vinyl as it comes out. My backlog of stuff I want has gotten pretty small. My Holy Grail is currently Give Way (which is hard to find at a decent price). I've been scouring ebay for a copy of 7/2/2003 mansfield so I can have all the 3 shows from the experiment. Not much else really... I spend the most money at shows now, because it's a bunch of merch I don't have (which probably explains the insanely crazy merch lineups at pj shows). Even then all I want is the poster from the show I went to and a tshirt (and well I couldn't resist the wrigley baseball cards and flag ).
Me too. My portfolio book is past capacity, and there is only 1 poster I am looking for and it will never be found. I also have most of the vinyl, and the few I am looking for, I may just wait for a re-issue instead of paying like $300.
Here, it is a combination of things. First, it is the 'off-season' for the most part. Not the most traffic. Second... a larger percentage of the sales have skewed toward 'maxing out' as opposed to reasonable pricing. In addition to that... many sales are items that have been released in the past year.
I had posters listed in lost dogs for over two weeks at reasonable prices. Not a single PM.
I posted the same posters and prices on Facebook at 1:18 PM. Check out the times and how quickly people responded. And this doesn't show the 10+ private messages I received on top of this.
Which group is that? I'm on Poster Parade and Know Your Rights

just curious...what poster are you looking for?
And I agree on the vinyl...the only one I'm after is Benny Hall. I have admitted to myself that I will never own it because I will never pay the going price. I wish they'd just reissue everything and call it done already. PJ would make a lot of money & the fans would be able to spin every album. It's a win-win.
I challenge you all to give something away Pearl Jam related to someone else who's posted in this thread. The 'spirit' of this place isn't gone. It hasn't turned into some eBay profit machine. I'll start us off. Free used 2000 official Pearl Jam bootleg and Temple of the Dog 2016 sticker to next person that posts below me.

Instead of the bootleg can you buy me a beer at the next pj show we're at together?

It's funny because the PJ Merch, and posters all sell for under $1,000 In most cases. It's not like people are posting $5k - 10k prices on anything
I know what you mean, if someone is trying to make a living off of selling PJ merch on the LD forum, that's a sad state of affairs.
Not a living but maybe allows someone to follow the band on a tour
Or fund other ludicrous Pearl Jam related item purchases.....
I never understood owning tons of things with PJ stamped all over them. Sure t-shirts and stuff, but we've started seeing duffle bags.. Sandles... ect
You really wanted a GCF poster. What's the difference?
I think there is a difference between a concert poster hanging on the wall as a piece of art or a fond memory. Wearing sandles with Pearl Jam stamped on them is a little on the odd side (not saying I am not odd as I've got thousands of PJ items). I came to a similar realization recently. If I don't wear it, won't hang it up, or stick it on something than why do I have it other than as an investment?
It is ironic how a progressive (politically) band with progressive followers is so obsessed with material possessions (not the band but its fans). And not functional material possessions, but five different colors of the same vinyl for example.
Funny, the irony... This thread is a list of people that has helped create the problem, asking why there is a problem... You can't post anything on here without the ridiculous opinions of the entitled.

I was thinking more of the lines of PJ printed enough to satisfy us this tour and maybe that's why?
Or maybe some prices are too high for the desirable stuff so it's sitting?
And perhaps we spend wayyyyyy too much time on here and know pricing too well and when we do say something people get offended?

Great thread!
