I didn't see any brawls, but I read a lot of reports on social media that several people over each night were taken to the hospital because someone at the show slipped a drug into their drink and they had to be taken away by ambulance. One woman reported that her friend was sitting in front of two guys and she suddenly felt ill and went to the ladies room, as she left, the guy said to her "good night". I find it unconscionable that someone would inflict that level of harm to someone else. I followed that thread yesterday and I am not sure if the woman reached out to ten club to inform them that this happened. Other people then added their stories that the knew of or heard others were also taken to the hospital. Apparently the woman (Becky ???) said her friend was told by a doctor at hospital she was given some sort of synthetic hallucinogenic drug. Hopefully she is going to be okay.

Be careful out there, don't leave your drinks unattended, I cannot believe this type of sociopath is attending a pearl jam concert.

Holy christ. Sad people act like this but Boston deserves some kudos for how a lot of the people were. My wife after HoB got a little too drunk and me and a buddy had to drag her out of the bar to get her in the uber back to my hotel. We had 3 or 4 groups of people come and accuse us of trying to rape her. I stayed calm and explained she was my wife and thanked them for checking on her but for 5 minutes they were relentless. Back home no one would have said a word to us.

Know a similar story about another Becky for Philly 1 that knowingly took something from someone and spent the night hurting. Shouldn't take anything from anyone if you don't know them.

Did you possibly get hit in the head during the brobrawl?

The Becky girl on social media is a local gal, I believe, mid to late 30's. Her accounts of what happened seemed genuine. Boston is a great city, but like any place, you have to be careful of your surroundings at all times and as for people, I treat pearl jam fans that I meet at shows like anyone else I meet, there is a vetting process in which you either pass my standards for potential friendship,or you fail. If you fail, I will have nothing to do with you. If you pass, I still keep my guard up.

When people are drinking, there guard is down. I don't know if the same person hit these pearl jam concerts/hob event or if it was different people, but there are reports all over social media that people were drugged without their consent and that is an assault. A guy also reported is friend got sick at HOB event and he went to men's room and never came back, the guy found him totally out of it in the street.

    Be careful!!!

We were in RF 94 and saw a blonde girl taken out on a stretcher. Wonder if that was her. Damn, that sucks that people would do that to another person. A great reminder to keep an eye on your drinks, especially if you are female.

That is outrageously, frighteningly horrible. I swear, let me see anything like someone putting something in someone else's drink, I'm seriously getting a cop and pointing the guy out and I'll miss the show filing a report if I have to. That is dangerous and horrible and... unbelievable.

Yeah, I'm sorry you went through that and I'm glad you were able to stay calm. But I gotta say I'm REALLY happy to hear people were paying attention and trying to help. It happens the bad way waaaaay too often, where the guys carrying the drunk girl/woman out do NOT have good intentions and NO ONE says anything. Really glad people were vigilant, although again sorry you had to deal with that while also taking care of your wife. But I'm sure if she were out with girlfriends and someone slipped her a mickey and strange guys were carrying your wife out, you'd want people to be just as vigilant, right?

  • About 25 minutes before the concert started on Sunday night, there was a kid in the stands near Pesky's Pole who thought he was going to be slick....he attempted to jump over the wall, bumped the metal fencing on his way, which make plenty of noise. Female security guard chased him down like she was the second coming of Usain Bolt. Walked him out.

that was one of the sections that had a report of said incident. I believe the other section was RF 90. But someone said the tickets were not 10c. At this point, I am sure there is a lot more speculation going on, but it really sucks not to be able to trust the person sitting near you for fear of this happening.

Also, the woman said the guys were really 'friendly". So you just never know what a person's intentions are when they are nice. Unbelievable how cruel and evil some people are.

For the most part we had really great people around us both nights. The exception were the husband and wife tandem of f'n a-holes that sat behind us Friday night in the State Street Pavilion. They were both drunk and belligerent. He was screaming out anti-Democratic rants whenever any politics were mentioned from the stage. She kept taking photos with a flash and the guy talked shit to my wife when she asked the drunken woman to turn off the flash. Then finally they capped it all off by managing to fall directly onto us. The woman delivered a glancing blow to my wife but that stupid fucker managed to fall square on top of me and then would not/could not get off of me for what seemed forever as I lay half in the woman's chair in the row in front of me. The guy next to me also took a little bit of the falling drunken a-hole.
Everybody around us agreed that those two people were colossal douchebags.

Most excellent to hear for two reasons:

    1) the bystander effect did not exist here
    2) you were able to remain calm and actually understand that strangers were trying to protect your wife. A lot of people wouldn't react with such class.
