  • About 25 minutes before the concert started on Sunday night, there was a kid in the stands near Pesky's Pole who thought he was going to be slick....he attempted to jump over the wall, bumped the metal fencing on his way, which make plenty of noise. Female security guard chased him down like she was the second coming of Usain Bolt. Walked him out.

We were in RF 94 and saw a blonde girl taken out on a stretcher. Wonder if that was her. Damn, that sucks that people would do that to another person. A great reminder to keep an eye on your drinks, especially if you are female.

that was one of the sections that had a report of said incident. I believe the other section was RF 90. But someone said the tickets were not 10c. At this point, I am sure there is a lot more speculation going on, but it really sucks not to be able to trust the person sitting near you for fear of this happening.

Also, the woman said the guys were really 'friendly". So you just never know what a person's intentions are when they are nice. Unbelievable how cruel and evil some people are.

For the most part we had really great people around us both nights. The exception were the husband and wife tandem of f'n a-holes that sat behind us Friday night in the State Street Pavilion. They were both drunk and belligerent. He was screaming out anti-Democratic rants whenever any politics were mentioned from the stage. She kept taking photos with a flash and the guy talked shit to my wife when she asked the drunken woman to turn off the flash. Then finally they capped it all off by managing to fall directly onto us. The woman delivered a glancing blow to my wife but that stupid fucker managed to fall square on top of me and then would not/could not get off of me for what seemed forever as I lay half in the woman's chair in the row in front of me. The guy next to me also took a little bit of the falling drunken a-hole.
Everybody around us agreed that those two people were colossal douchebags.

I didn't see any brawls, but I read a lot of reports on social media that several people over each night were taken to the hospital because someone at the show slipped a drug into their drink and they had to be taken away by ambulance. One woman reported that her friend was sitting in front of two guys and she suddenly felt ill and went to the ladies room, as she left, the guy said to her "good night". I find it unconscionable that someone would inflict that level of harm to someone else. I followed that thread yesterday and I am not sure if the woman reached out to ten club to inform them that this happened. Other people then added their stories that the knew of or heard others were also taken to the hospital. Apparently the woman (Becky ???) said her friend was told by a doctor at hospital she was given some sort of synthetic hallucinogenic drug. Hopefully she is going to be okay.

Be careful out there, don't leave your drinks unattended, I cannot believe this type of sociopath is attending a pearl jam concert.

Holy christ. Sad people act like this but Boston deserves some kudos for how a lot of the people were. My wife after HoB got a little too drunk and me and a buddy had to drag her out of the bar to get her in the uber back to my hotel. We had 3 or 4 groups of people come and accuse us of trying to rape her. I stayed calm and explained she was my wife and thanked them for checking on her but for 5 minutes they were relentless. Back home no one would have said a word to us.

Know a similar story about another Becky for Philly 1 that knowingly took something from someone and spent the night hurting. Shouldn't take anything from anyone if you don't know them.
Most excellent to hear for two reasons:

    1) the bystander effect did not exist here
    2) you were able to remain calm and actually understand that strangers were trying to protect your wife. A lot of people wouldn't react with such class.

  • Weird - a bartender at HOB told me they were limiting drinks to 1/person because so many people were totally fucked up by like 9:30. I figured it was the typical PJ couples trying to go too hard on their weekend without the kids - maybe they got dosed?
"Hey, listen asshole, one more fucker throws a fuckin' quarter up here and we're outta here, I'm tellin' ya, FUCKER! What the fuck, you're blowin' it for fuckin' everybody. Hit me with a fuckin' quarter again and, fuck it, I'm outta here. We're all outta here. Fuck you, and if anyone sees someone throw fuckin' change right next to them, you have my permission to beat the fuckin' holy shit outta them."

Wow. I thought a lot of people were really messed up or drunk early. Doors opened at 6 pm and yeah, by 8:30/9pm, a lot of people seemed out of their minds and quite a few got kicked out by security for starting trouble or being too drunk. I did not drink that night, so I was totally sober all night and let me tell you, I saw some weird shit going on, but I just figured that's how drunk people act nowadays. Maybe many had been drugged and didn't know it?

Nice when people look after each other.

It's just the right thing to do; we need more of that.

But how does someone surreptitiously slip something into another's drink at a concert? Aren't the cups/bottles typically held and kept with you?

Shame (and more) on any asshole who would even attempt that.

At the hip show on friday, they seve beer in big plastic 20 oz clear cups. You can buy two at a time. I can drink from one and put the other in front of me in the cup holder. I often dont watch it, as i am standing and watching the band. Could easily be slipped something. Could be one reason why they ask if you want a lid? That and the spillage factor, of course.

Different story in GA. But still could happen.

I'm not saying people didn't get "dosed" but it gets annoying when people have like 8-10 drinks if not more, get totally hammered, act like an idiot then the next day state someone must have put something in their drink. More often than not its people don't know when to stop drinking. Just my thoughts I guess.

I'm from Philly too I don't know if it was bad luck or not but I had about 5-6 beers or drinks spilled on me last weekend. Peeps from Boston learn how to drink out of a cup! All and all besides that I thought Boston was a great host and the people were cool and super nice.

People in section 97 started throwing shit too for some odd reason. I had to turn around and yell at two guys during the show. I got hit with a glow stick or something.

Missed the fight. I don't get some people at these shows. Had the woman behind us puke all over the seat next to us right before the show started. Luckily that seat ended up not being used as she destroyed it. My wife and I caught splatter and got to stand in in puke the whole show.

    ANOTHER Boston puker?

This is becoming some sort of gross tradition.

Haha. After it happened I mentioned the Boston puker had returned to the people she was with. They laughed and then shushed me.
