totally. I hate the "well we made them rich" mentality. we don't own a piece of them because we bought their records that WE ENJOY. we aren't doing them a favour. I'm not a musical philanthropist.mcgruff10 said:

My take away from that is that outside of performing a concert we pay for they owe us nothing extra and we shouldn't expect anything extra. Often they go above and beyond and I consider that a bonus.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -

I remember...I was facing the bar ( just got there) when a car pulled up behind me...my friends who were facing the street pointed at me to turn around with smiles on their faces.
I turned and was facing Mike like 2 ft apart...he shook my hand and talked for a minute
it was for Tres Mt

for sure, they owe us nothing. Kinda like when your work calls on your day off and you ignore it because it's your time and you can do with it what you want.mcgruff10 said:

I read this thread at its infancy, and haven't been on the board in a few days. I see next to the thread 90 new replies. My first thought....."damn, PJ was all over town for so many people to have bumped into them!"
Then I read the 90 new replies. Not so much, lol.0 -

Yes, I certainly was suggesting a lot for thinking they may have wanted to donate 30 minutes of their time. I will keep that silliness to myself going forward. They are like any other retailer selling $5 shirts for $35.ham_on_rye said:

No, they are like any other retailer promising a film screening and q&a with the director and then delivering a film screening and q&a with the director.bootlegger10 said:

And I didn't expect anything different and posted so several times. But based on most of the comments in this thread it seems that the average superfan (posting in this forum) views them as corporate CEO's of a retailer.JimmyV said:

I've read this entire thread and I don't recall anyone saying that. It feels like you have an agenda you're trying to advance here for some reason.bootlegger10 said:

Exactly, although if bootlegger paid $35 for his HOB tix, maybe we shouldn't tell him they also gave the tix away for free? Imagine the gall of PJ, delivering exactly what they said they would and doing it for FREE!JimmyV said:
