So many fanclub members i spoke to last night are not going to chicago because they didn;t get tix and didn;t want to sit in the nosebleeds after battling chicago traffic. I say sell the whole friggen tour out to the fanclub, reserve 200 seats for the public at the box office the day of. BTW, my suggestion to help curtail idiocy at Ed/PJ shows would be to ban alcohol sales. Especially in Wisconsin. It's supposed to be about the music.
I am torn about viewing the youtube clips from last nights Milwaukee show due to the fact that the freakin LCD screens from all the cell phones and cameras were extremely distracting and annoying. That bright ass light made it hard to focus on the stage!

Im a huge Eddie fan and was embarassed by the way THE SCREAMERS were acting. there were probably only 5 people doing it, so lets not make this a big issue as far as the whole crowd goes. If theres one thing we can all agree on is that security has to do a better job, and those people around the screamers should get security if and when these asshole dont stop screaming. You could tell that 99.9 percent of the crowd was thoroughly frusterated.......myself included, and was embarassed at the way things were going on.
Last night was really fucking frustrating. Ed put on a beautiful show, just to be met with some immature, lightweight pricks screaming just to hear themselves. It was so disrespectful not only to the fans whose seats they took who would have been quiet, but to Eddie. Ed makes a stop in Milwaukee for the first time in over 2 years. Now I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make it a stop on the next tour. Right off the bat, people were screaming stupid shit (Go Cubbies, shit about beer), and Ed said something like, "Get it out now... I won't be putting up with this shit for long!" But then he has to sit there in frustration even when they don't stop because, really, what can he do? One guy finally gets thrown out... what, 3/4 into the show? At that point, he had already frustrated Ed and all the rest of us.
I'll never understand why these assholes pay good money to get hammered in a beautiful, intimate theater with such a talented, amazing musician, when they could just sit with their frat buddies in their mom's basement and jerk off for the night.
I took off during Hard Sun, because I could tell Ed was pissed and was going to scram right after the show...sure enough, I no more than get around the corner and Ed flys out and passes w/in a few feet of me and jumps in the bus.
We hung out by the bus...somehow hoping he would stick his head out and we could thank him for such a great show.
IT was embarrassing at times, but during 90% of the show I thought everyone was respectful.

I was at the show. Arrived in Milw at noon. Checked out the Milw Art Museum. Went to the pre-party. Won the 06 Grand Rapids DVD. Was jazzed waiting for the show to start. Loved it! These evenings have become fewer and farther between for me. All the wife and I talked about the first tens mins going home to Madison was the awful crowd. I don't know why I thought Milw would be different.
Let me say this, the whoos and I love you Eddie's were tame in comparison to some of the idiots last night. Didn't ruin my evening, but was a definite asteric as worst crowd atmosphere on this tour.

Great performance by a clearly frustrated indidividual. I'm sure people in different parts of the theater heard something different before the collapse to the stage, but the way I remember it was there was a "We love you Eddie!" from some girl that broke the camel's back. He hung his head in exhaustive frustration, like "I give up", hunched over the mic stand and went with gravity and let it take him to the floor where he lay face down for up to a minute. Meanwhile massive cheers kept going, even though I was sitting there wondering if he would wait for everyone to just shut up. When it was clear that no one was quieting down, he got up and did, I don't know, 25 pushups? Exercise to release stress? Then got back in his seat.
At that point my thought was "I would love to hear more songs, but I wouldn't blame him if he just walked off stage right now." But he must've known that it was a vast minority of the crowd that was causing this friction.

When I heard the girl scream "We love you Eddie!" and then he went down, I reflected back on the 12 year old (?) speech of "You don't love me, you love the image of me that you created in your head" (paraphrased).
