Imagine how shitty your life is to even have a thought about legal action against a band over a song.

There was someone in England, a solicitor I believe, who was threatening to sue Bruce Springsteen and Ticketmaster over their handling of the ticket sales for Springsteen On Broadway.
He seemed quite serious  about it. Knew case law and everything

I heard that the single contains songs from Murphy's Rooftop and will be released after LP2. I can be patient based on that rumor.

I hope they scrap the 2016 and and put out a double set for 2017 ala 94/95
I think this is the best case scenario now. Otherwise there'll be a bunch of "2017 Single" threads that will run and run.

I don't have much hope for any studio recordings this time around either. Maybe a double vinyl "Let's Play 2" tie-in set? The Murphy's rooftop songs would be a very nice record to have...

I think the plans for the single included some Temple of the Dog from the recent tour and that was shut down for obvious reasons.  Just my gut feeling.

I’m confused anymore.... my membership I paid in oct 2015 is the single I’m waiting on? I’m about to renew and will have 2 years waiting on singles?

Honestly I don’t like the way they handle this. But I have a choice, and I still renew. So I’ve stopped really caring about it much. I do find it disappointing that they continue to do this, but it’s not like it’s a surprise anymore.

You would think after so many years they would have it down to a science.  I don't know what the issue is though.  If it is not a priority or the band doesn't have the same passion for it then maybe change up the Ten Club benefits.  The singles are cool but it has been 25 years and don't have to continue doing it.

    Lol.

People honestly think they have it hard here. Try being a GNR fan for the past ten years. 80, yes EIGHTY dollars a year for the "Nightrain" membership. And you know what people got this year in that "membership?" a lanyard, shirt, lithograph (a little bigger then a business card) and 1 of 3 slipmats (axl, duff or Slash). All of that shipped 7 months after people bought it for the year, and international orders STILL haven't been received. Last year was even worse. You get access to pre-select tickets before general and even credit card on sales, but pretty much no one was able to get pit tickets through the fan club for the run of shows this year.

All of this with one album of Axl Rose solo music since the year 1991. The same year Pearl Jam broke into our conscience.

In the words of the great street prophet Earl Simmons, aka DMX:

    "Stop being greedy."
    Thank you for this.

There's a lot of bitching. Some guy talked class action lawsuit.  (#FirstWorldProblems)  People discuss how they aren't touring so they should have the time, but they are out doing things. They have families, are out supporting causes and the community. Chris died. Not excuses. Explanations. It's not like they live stagnant lives. They are out doing things-- positive things.

    It will arrive.

I don’t think it’s greed when you paid for it.

The lawsuit was funny though. I actually expected it to be about the anthology if anything

Right.  They say it's part of the membership.  I don;t think greed has anything to do with it.

  • I could understand it if it was intended to be some TOTD stuff from last year, but I doubt it. They've done that before. it seems to me, that the band just doesn't really care about it.

but hey, we got a new halloween shirt. yay.
new album "Cigarettes" out Spring 2025!

I do think it is about time that 10c/ management got it together with the whole single, deep, t-shirt delivery, it seems to have gotten worse over the years.

I mean, its dependent on the band. It moves at their pace.

I know people like new PJ stuff, but there is other shit to do.

I would love to tell one of my customers something like this when they've paid me almost 2 years go for something and still haven't received it. "You'll get it at some point. Be patient. I have other stuff going on right now."

Right? I don't understand how people defend it. 2 years late on a product you paid for would be unacceptable from any other company. Its not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things but it is something we paid for and were promised. And people who are upset have a legitimate gripe. If there are reasons for the delay like licensing for songs or something then I'm sure we'd be understanding, but could we get an update at least?

    Who really cares?

Alot of you need to stop dwelling on this.

It's probably too late in the game to change anything but this could have been fixed long ago by simply producing two singles one year. Release one that year and hold the second one for the next year. After that as long as the band puts together a new single every twelve months they would always be working a year ahead.

How is it 2 years late? 10 months, maybe, but not 2 years

  • It’s my fault.  2016 was the first year I went analog- I had always just traded or bought the vinyl.  I haven’t gotten a single deep issue, no vinyl, no download and no member gift or t shirt or whatever it is since I upped it to analog.  Don’t know how to read, don’t do digital music at all, wouldn’t wear an I’m analog t shirt unless held at gunpoint and forced to do so, and don’t know how to redeem codes or whatever we get.  I like paying $40 for forum usage and vault vinyl purchasing power though.
I'm like an opening band for your mom.

There are people who paid their 2016 membership in November-December of 2015. About 2 years ago. They will be paying for 2018 in a few weeks, 2 memberships later. So not exactly 2 years but two subscription periods
