This^^ was lucky to see that once and very cool they played/recorded OTE at 3rd man with Jack White. With such a small set kind of surprised they chose it. Perhaps their next next next album will have more songs like that.

Same!  I love that song!  I dont think Ed really ever completed lyrics for it so that's why we never got a studio version.  But yes, more songs in that vein would be awesome!

Still the best version of Of The Earth I've heard is the first time they played it live.  Mike really nailed his solo on that one!  I think it was Dublin or somewhere in the UK anyway in 2010 I recall.

In other news, Maynard just got his jiu-jitsu black belt. Impressive-yet more testimony to his work ethic.

Schism I've seen a few times in recent years. Always fun. Flood was first time since 2011 per setlist.fm

I don't think I've ever seen flood before, in the 90s I saw four degr and crawl away never flood

I see that they have been alternating The Pot and Jambi now. Makes room for other songs like Flood.

Flood seemed to be the Undertow deep cut of choice in the 10k Days era; I’m unsurprised they took it off the shelf now. Someone on FB said they might have soundchecked Sweat… that would be fun to hear again. (That rumor could be BS too)

    They also dropped Culling Voices.

I'm surprised at how much they changed the setlist for the two shows. Had to be an awesome experience for anyone able to make both shows.

My buddy was at the Baltimore show on Wednesday…. That set could have happened any given night in the fall… looks like they saved the debut of this leg’s rotating deep cuts for MSG. I saw some video footage of Flood, it looked great.
I don’t feel too bad for my buddy tho, he scored Danny’s pick when the lights came up. Speaking of… apparently Danny is using one of Chris Cornell’s guitars when he sits down for CV on this leg.

Nice pic, was wild first time i saw Danny on guitar and of all bands, Tool doing a sit down "unplugged " jam.

setlist... flood and sweat were surprises. Other than that all the changes were among tunes they've been playing the last five years.

& Sweat was in the rotation back in 2017, so it’s not as if they’re dusting off tracks they haven’t played in 20+ years. I wonder if those are a bit easier on Maynard’s voice. It’s still a nice change from hearing Vicarious again, or another staple from the last 15 years though.
