Those wanting hits go see Foos or PJ. Tool is prog and getting more prog with every album.

What band mostly over 55 plays over half their set from their most recent album and the crowd loves it? Not six of 23 like say a PJ but 6 of 11? That defines Tool.

Finally got my crown jewel framed up w/ some accessories.

While we're talking about signed prints... I'm speaking w/ Cam DeLeon via facebook (the artist who did the Aenima art) about getting some small smoke box prints:
     TOOL Aenima 1996 CD AlbaMusic
My plan is to get 3 of these and insert them behind the picks to increase their visibility.
    WOOT WOOT

Shheeet. That's going to be sweet.  Almost looks too cool to cut.

    Right?

I’ll have to think of something cool to do with the extras.

Too bad FI was a steaming pile of turd. The ‘17 show we saw DESTROYED the ‘23. Not even close.

Not sure what you are listening to, to each their own, FI is one of the most incredible albums ever recorded in rock history. The expansion of their sound, the expansion of their progressive creativity, is nothing short of incredible on FI.

They’ve been playing FI for about half their set for nearly five years (unheard of in the rock touring industry, the new stuff getting half the set), and every show I’ve seen the crowd eats it up. Hey stinkfist is great also, but it’s an entirely different level, for some of us.

Damn you had to quote that, to each his own. FI might be my favorite album of all time. Live, when compared to the old material, the old tunes are like black and white and FI is in color. For those who like progressive metal it is definitely an incredible work of art

I'm heading to Nashville this afternoon to gear up for tomorrow's show. Can't wait.

I've got floor/aisle seats near the mixing board.

I don't consider FI my absolute favorite but it's a solid album and completely consistent with their music.

I'm going to be listening to it a lot during the drive south.

FI is a damn good album. Does it compare to Undertow, Aenima or Lateralus? No, but I’m hard pressed to think of anything that does.

It’s a solid contribution to their discography regardless.

Awesome!  Keep your phones in your pockets until Maynard tells you to take 'em out, sit back and enjoy the experience.  Or jump up and down and scream along at the top of your lungs, whatever, it'll be a good time.

I don't think they have poster tubes at least I have never seen anyone with one at a Tool show.

I showed up with a poster tube for Tool at Hampton Coliseum 2012, and the lady selling posters was so impressed she looked for the lowest number in the S/N stack for me haha.

drakeheuer14, would you be able to pick me up a poster if you are there earlier? My son would love one and his percussion practice at school runs till 7. We will roll in at 8.

I’d of course pay for it and happily buy you a beer or anything else!

    If not, no biggie!

    Edit: how much are they?

I may not make it down there in time myself to snag! But once I get into the line I can definitely try

Such a great show.  That "Forty Six & 2" still stands out as one of the best concert moments I can recall.

After a couple lackluster shows in ‘07 & ‘09, I was kind of out on them live, but the 2012 Boston show happened to fall a Saturday night at a venue that wasn’t a hassle to get in & out of, so the stars were in alignment for me to go; I’m glad they were…. That show totally put them back on the map for me as a must see band
