My buddy grabbed 7emptest package for us, night 2 in TO.  Only seen them once, and it was from nosebleeds - so looking forward to much better vantage.

I think 2nd show (Saturday) is happening in CT. It was listed in the original post.
11/10 & 11/11 for CT were leaked a while back (I've had hotel reservations for both since I heard  :D

2 shows in Uncasville sounded like a stretch, but in the absence of an NYC show, and the 10th & 11th being a holiday weekend, the only way I see it NOT happening is if the 10th doesn't sell out, which i think it will, and quickly.
Mohegan ticket prices are insane. What did you pay?
Middle tier... $149 & fees for about $181 total

Lower loge in the back, which I'm fine with. (did a couple VIPs over the last 5 years, so I've had the up close experience)

Absurd prices, but proly market rate... and I have a pretty good feeling that 4 or 5 years from now we won't be able to see Tool live any more, so I'm trying to get in as much as possible.

Mohegan Sun is a cool venue too. The arena is about as intimate as arenas get (10K capacity) and while I don't gamble, it's pretty awesome to walk out of a concert into the casino & have all those options for things to do.
I actually grew up 10 minutes from the Sun which is why I was poking around at the tickets. It is a pretty intimate room and I guess that's why comparable tickets are over 2x the Garden. Booooooooo! Sounds like you got decent seats though so have a blast.
I think those tickets you were looking at are premium, or resale... I saw a lot of the same price points as Boston when I was looking earlier.
Yeah they're platinuming tickets where comparable tickets in Boston we're not platinumed. Not really complaining but it's interesting.

It's all good, I complained plenty before buying my tickets.  :)

I think Mohegan N1 is all sold out except for resale & platinum. I imagine N2 won't last long... that's gotta be one of the hottest stops of the tour being a Friday & Saturday night of a holiday weekend & only a 10K seat arena.

Edit: I stand corrected... only platinum left for N2.

Turns out you’re right… there are $99 singles left for Boston high up in the balcony. There’s also singles available at Mohegan high up in the balcony, and those are $149. Looks like Mohegan didn’t have that $99 lower tier that other venues had (which would make sense, Mohegan holds 7k fewer people)

Mohegan had $99 tix, sections 111, 112, and 113. I was able to get 2 in 111 for the Saturday show.

Cheapest ticket now is close to $400 with fees…only weekend shows in northeast…gotta love these bands. Forget about charging like a 30% premium for better seats, they love to gouge at double or triple cost. Allentown has decent prices but a Tuesday, and their ticket site is horrible.

Rosetta stoned the only addition to the set. Im
Not a fan of the encore at all. I don’t know if it’s enough for me to attend any shows this leg. We’ll see

Yeah, that set is pretty underwhelming. I'll still catch the Boston show, but I'm going to unload at least one, if not both of my Mohegan Sun shows.

I’m a drummer and DC is my favorite. But CCT into Culling Voices is an awful way to lead into Invincible. Which to me is a bad closer as it is. If it stays this way I’ll be skipping them if they hit my area next year. Such a shame man I was really hoping the completely changed the set for this leg.

I agree about the encore... I loved Invincible as a closer in 2019, but it's worn thin at this point. & yeah... CCT -> CV is also underwhelming. Not to mention Rosetta Stoned is one of my least favorite songs by them... it has it's moments, and I know it's a fan favorite from that album, but there are parts of it that just come off as a hot mess to me... I would take practically anything else in their catalog over that song.

I don't want to miss both CT shows... I have a unique seat for N2, (lower bowl, rear corner front row... it's the only seat in the row due to the dimensions of the section) but with the cost of the hotel, on top of the ticket plus gas money to drive down... I don't think I can't justify it.

I'm glad they gave us the set they did in 2022.

It’s true that the set is still very reliant on FI, so it has a feel of been there done that.

However it seems I have a much higher opinion of FI than most fans. I consider that album to be among the best rock albums released by a band in the later stages of their career. To me it stands up there with Lateralus, Aenima and 10k days.

I think FI is great, and would take it over 10K Days as a complete front to back album. 10K Days feels more like a collection of songs than a fluent album IMO.

My issue is more the set list formula over anything else... open w/ FI; play a few radio hits (Jambi, The Pot, Stinkfist), come back from the encore w/ CCTrip... then CV -> Invincible. The formula is a bit tired.

They're still one of the best acts out there, and IMO still worth seeing, but I don't need to see more than 1 show, and I'm definitely not inspired to travel for this. (in fairness, we don't know what songs they'll be rotating.. it might improve, but I'm not holding my breath).

I love them and I'm seeing them and will always see them but it's just rough when a band has a collection of iconic albums and you're getting very little of that.

And I know you kinda have to take what you get but this is a band who should be playing longer sets

Hard to believe it's been four years since they last played Aftershock Festival, which was just over a month after Fear Inoculum came out. I can remember the anticipation of experiencing new material live for the first time in a long time. Pneuma hit like a ton of bricks to close the show. I don't know if it has closed out many shows since then.

I am not attending Aftershock this weekend. The anticipation is just not the same.

On paper I totally get that but given they're pretty much in their sixties and that their songs are so long it probably warrants more of a breakdown.

They're doing 5 FI songs generally a night-all are over 10 minutes long and 7empest is 16. Say an average pop/rock song is 3-4 minutes that's the length of 15 of those songs there. The Pot is 7 (2 songs) Pushit is 10 (2.5 songs), Rosetta is 12 (3 songs), extended Stinkfist is 7 (2 songs) Hooker is 5 (1 song) Grudge is 9 (2.5 songs) Patient 7 (2 songs) 46+2 7(2 songs) extended Opiate 9? (2 songs). Take a mix of those with an eye to "time in play" and you're looking about the length of 25+ conventional songs, which is impressive (especially for Danny who is absolutely incredible).

I'd love them to play a 20 song set with Maynard able to belt out his screams as intensely as he did 25 years ago but age is a bitch. I'd have seen Eulogy Third Eye 4 Degrees Jerk Off and been smug as all fuck. But you have contenders for the best light show going around and the best drummer going around (not to mention a heap of other world class aspects about the show). So as much as I want more, I think they're going pretty hard.

P.S. if they played a 20 song set at the Sphere I'd give my left nut to be there.

Good catch NB, very different setlist. Don’t think I ever saw that one Undertow track. But did get swamp song once in the 90s, now that would be something . And they cut FI content in half.

I just double checked setlist.fm and their sets are longer than I realized. I had in my head they were like 1:40 for some reason but it seems pretty consistently 2:15. Nevermind! I retract!
