yep, Bottleneck offers some great artists, but their poster drops usually sell out in seconds (much like other AP drops from artists like Sperry, Emek and Stout). These instant sellouts make me appreciate 10C's poster sales more, as at least we have "somewhat of a chance" to buy online if we miss prints at the show or A/P drops.

Why? What would a extra $100 be? Nothing when your willing (or dumb enough) to spend that much for that poster?

Pearl Jam are headlining the Pemberton Music Festival Sunday night and Bioworkz aka Ben Kwok did the poster for the show. This time it's a stunning Lion. Look for the tent to get all your Pearl Jam goodies this weekend. Tickets still remain as well.

Can i just say this and i do like it. But why have these gig posters become so complex and detailed. Take me back to the 90s anyday where i could get a unicorn driving a hotrod or similar

I feel everyone is trying to hard

Yeah, the really detailed ones are cool occasionally. But the strange, what am I looking at, its ugly but I love it posters are the best. I like simple ones that pop too though.

While the art of both of his posters has been great and really detailed, the descriptions on the back seem to be missing the point. I think the original intention of the print on the back was to talk about the inspiration for the art and how it ties into Pearl Jam, the city, venue, song/album inspiration. Not really interested in how long it took to complete.

Was thinking the same thing. Don't need the detailed bill of work, would like to know why a lion - or make me believe it's more than "I like lions." Wish there's more story to it - or just write about something completely off topic.

That being said, I really do like the detailed work. I love the MSG print earlier this year and hope to see more of his stuff in the rotation.

What I got from him saying how long it took was that he really cared about what he was doing and he wanted to get that point across.

It's a pretty fuckin' rad poster. Now all I have to be able to do is actually buy one at the show (unlike last week at Ride when they sold out almost immediately).

I like the pen and ink version on the back but it gets lost when the colour is added. So close yet so far on this one.

Instantly sold out. Something fishy going on, IMO. Especially with they were on evilbay yesterday.

This site is NOTORIOUS for having things sold out.

Check eBay in a little while and see how many are being sold by art dealers.

    This game is rigged fellas!
That's what said last night in different words, after I messaged the person who had the lava one up on ebay yesterday. And he told me he didn't get it at the show. Figured they were flying out the back door.
Absolutely. I tried for Dead 50 posters on there and nothing...
I doubt the guy selling the foil got it from the gallery. He already has it in hand and the gallery doesn't have their copies yet. Not to mention he's never sold anything else released by them before so it's a stretch to assume that IMO.

Pulled this from the tag "art dealers"...
I'm failing to see your point as it relates to my post. I'm not doubting that people are selling AJ's prints on eBay, I'm doubting that the person who already has a foil copy in his possession got it from the gallery in a "back door" deal, which is what people are implying.
    Oh! My bad.

If he didn't get it from the gallery and had it in hand already then how did he get it?
I dunno. It's possible he's lying about not getting it at the show, or he got it from AJ, or a friend of AJs, or the printer, or something else. But the gallery doesn't have their copies yet, so to me it's a leap to assume he got it from the gallery in a back door deal and has it in hand already, which he obviously does.

My only point is really to just consider the many, many other ways he could have it other than "gallery is shady because their prints sell out". Prints sell out because they're for massively popular bands and 1000s try to get their hands on dozens of copies. Also bots.
AJ Masthay had an open studio event on July 9th. I believe the one sold on eBay was bought there.

I agree.... the colour makes it a bit too busy, but like others I appreciate the time, effort and dedication that the artist out into their work. Enjoy the show everyone

That could be any time in the next month. Emek doesn't push out a ton of stuff and the releases are pretty random. I would expect it to be next week or the week after that, but honestly it could be the middle of August - you will get advanced notice though.
