Yeah his numbers will only increase its insane but it appears that nothing will stick at this point nothing will bring him down !!Gern Blansten said:Maybe this explains why he refers to himself in the third person so much. He's used to talking about "Trump" as John Miller/John Barron.

"my tax rate is none of your business."
donald trump.
come on man, fork it over.
he can make demands and try to make rules but he doesn't have to be open with the american people?
what is he hiding in there?
1. he is not as rich as he says
2. he is paying a lower rate than he should
or
3. he has given less to charity than he claims to have given.
what other reason does he have to not release them?"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."0 -
none...and the "I'm under audit" excuse is complete bullshit. The IRS already has his return...what harm would come from showing it to the public? Unless he wants to show us a fake return.gimmesometruth27 said:"my tax rate is none of your business."

Then, Friday afternoon, Washington Post reporters who were 44 minutes into a phone interview with Trump about his finances asked him a question about Miller: “Did you ever employ someone named John Miller as a spokesperson?”
oh this is good stuff...
The phone went silent, then dead. When the reporters called back and reached Trump’s secretary, she said, “I heard you got disconnected. He can’t take the call now. I don’t know what happened.”
Trump has never been terribly adamant about denying that he often made calls to reporters posing as someone else. From his earliest years in business, he occasionally called reporters using the name “John Barron.”Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

is it not a public office they are holding?PJfanwillneverleave1 said:Since when does someones tax return become anyones business?
it is a trust issue. it goes to show that if you are going to be the leader of the free world you are not going to be a criminal ie tax cheat.
every presidential candidate since the 60s has released them. and every president has released them for the years they are in office in the final year of their term.

and if you are going to raise people's taxes, you had better show that you are paying what you are supposed to pay and not less than you are supposed to pay."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

Yeah pretty easy to lose perspective.mrussel1 said:I know this won't be a popular view because it' runs contra to conventional wisdom, but this country has never been LESS corrupt and MORE inclusive than it is today. If you think money influencing politics is new to the last 20 years, you haven't studied history at all. Since the Republics of Rome and Greece, elections and politicians have always been for sale. Today, we have more information, quicker than ever. It makes us think things have changed. They haven't. It's just more transparent.
Where we are infinitely better today than every in our history are in the civil rights arena, for minorities, gays, women, etc. There's this horrible negative perception that permeates this country but our economy is stronger than any other in Europe and Asia and our liberties are strong. We just need to keep moving forward

Exactly. It's the hypocrisy and the ridiculous lying that is the problem. Most presidents through the history of the USA have cheated on their wives I think - that really isn't the issue here.Gern Blansten said:
Correct...but Trump made it an issue by going after Bill Clinton. What's good for the goose?chadwick said:who gives a care how many women trump has had while married or while single or whatever. it's boring info & it's none of anyone's business really
I would also argue that Trump pretending to be another person like that is extremely fucked up and a real red flag when it comes to what kind of person he is.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Yet most politicians when elected on a platform for the most part end up reneging on the very premise that put them on stage.
Trump is shaking things up beforehand.0 -
Agreed....I also think it's interesting that the reporter that interviewed "John Miller" says that she thinks Trump actually leaked this story to take pressure off the tax return issue. I have a hard time believing that....she stated that only she and Trump knew about the recording but I can imagine someone could dig up enough dirt to find it.PJ_Soul said:
