Juggler, I could give Secretary Clinton a run for her money on how much I value personal privacy. I do have some plans and I hope you do also. Have a fantastic weekend, ok? That's for everyone here. :)

    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/donald-trump-birther-charity-promise

Shit this is hilarious. I wonder if that dumbass even remembers this...I mean he's obviously has proof now right?
So now that Donald Trump -- after years of race-baiting and rumor-mongering -- believes that President Obama was born in the United States, will he follow through on his promise to donate $5 million to charity once he was given proof?

That was the question posed by The Washington Post's David Fahrenthold, who has been reporting doggedly on Trump's charitable giving (or lack thereof).

Along with his persistent questioning of Obama's birth certificate, his claims that he was sending researchers to Hawaii to investigate Obama's records and his continued refusal -- until Friday -- to recognize Obama's American birth, Trump also promised in 2012 $5 million in charitable giving in exchange for various documents that would prove to Trump's "satisfaction" that Obama was not born abroad.

Replace Trump with Hillary and subtract reality tv show and that statement is 100% accurate

You cant accuse Trump of hiding stuff when you have 30 years of the biggest fraud running for President
You have a horrible memory. Or very selective.

How exactly is Hillary a fraud? Be specific. This woman has been investigated, slandered and muckraked her entire political career and still nobody has been able to make anything stick. Hillary must be some sort of super genius political mastermind. If that's the case, that's who I wanted sitting in the Oval Office.

You know, instead of the guy who has declared bankruptcy 4 times, refuses to release his tax returns, raped his ex-wife, and settled out of court and paid numerous fines for sexual misconduct, discrimination, and on and on and on...

Oh yeah, let's not forget the Federal child rape case being pursued against Trump.

Aside from what Trump may or not be hiding, I feel I have gleaned enough from his publicized dealings to come to the conclusion that he is a terrible atrocity of a human being and should never ever have been considered for the position of Leader of the Free World.

The media didn't create Hillary. She was FLOTUS, got herself elected as a senator from New York and was Secretary of State. The media doesn't create that kind of track record, whether you like her/dislike her, support her or not or agree/disagree with her policies. If anything, the media, particularly the alt-right media, has been trying to destroy her for the past 25 years.
Well, she was those things. What did she accomplish?

No, I think this one may have been a bridge too far. Even CNN and Politico, which are very paranoid about being called 'biased' are calling him a liar for blaming Clinton for starting it. This is one where all of his pathological behavior is on tape and/or on twitter.

I don't think people on here think he will be a "good" president. This is where the misunderstanding of his support lies. People think the world is facing serious problems. These same people think that a Clinton will only result in more of the same. Trump is the risky change agent. He could be terrible but at least there is a possibility of "good" compared to the alternative which has already been judged to be a continuation of the status quo.

He would most likely be pretty bad considering he is not a real republican. Only Ted Cruz could possibly do worse.

thanks for answering. i understand the idea of wanting to vote for someone who will change it up and look at making changes, but do people really believe that Trump is the person to do this?

I can't believe true republicans would vote for the idiot....just the idea of how he would promote his own business is disturbing.

If he was a dem the republicans would be going nuclear on that side of the equation.

I can't help but think that arrogance, pro-isolationist stances, flippancy, racism, sexism, and compulsive lying aren't exactly strong leading indicators for success. "Risky" change seems to be putting it incredibly nicely compared to the reality.

The majority of the public isn't buying the racism/sexism charges...that card has been maxed out. The average person might agree with you on the arrogance, pro-isolationist stances, and flippancy but they see that as a feature and not a bug. The compulsive lying? I think the average person just doesn't care as they know he is not "ideological". They see it as a man who is winging it as he goes. Flip-flopping is an irrelevant charge against Trump because he is looked at as someone who will do what is necessary to"fix" things. If something doesn't work he will alter course and try again or even cut his losses and not pour in bad money after good. For better or worse this is where the public's head is at and to defeat him Hillary will have to take a far different course. She will have to sell herself.

A lot of Trump supporters are blinded by fear and ignorance so that they see him as a good alternative when they mix in magical thinking about his policies. There was an example the other day from Godfather where is was pointed out how Trumps policies would increase the deficit. He basically just said that his economic plan wouldn't really do that. Despite evidence against it. When Trump says crazy lies and unrealistic proposals, they say 'well he just speaks his mind', and that the crazy stuff won't manifest into some form of reality.

Trump does have a good shot at breaking Obama's most rounds of golf played while being POTUS record. So he has that going for him.

I guess you're right that pro-isolationism is being seen as a feature (since it's in line with nationalism). Flippancy is not exactly a great virtue for anyone attempting to maintain diplomatic relationships with foreign countries, nor is arrogance, but as you said, people may truly put nationalism on such a pedestal that these are moot points. With regards to the acceptance of his "winging it", this seems like a very short-sighted decision on the part of the public: anyone in any form of project management will tell you that changing your mind on a design at the eleventh hour is a costly venture (whether your cost is in effort or dollars) - I'd imagine that the POTUS exhibiting these tendencies would be a fiscal nightmare. All of this being said, sadly, I think your fairly low expectations of the public's perceptions are probably accurate, so I agree - the Clinton campaign must react pretty quickly if they wish to garner support.

so are you willing to take the chance that he will be a good president while knowing that no matter what he is going to be the president for 4 years.
