So psyched that so many PJ fans are going to Wilco on Sunday.
Didn't even ask the Mrs.about us attending the Wilco show when I saw pictures of the venue and its only blocks away from our hotel, any music lover should enjoy their show
Chicago is a great town to visit, went there last year for Fare Thee Well shows
People were friendly, food was great, security/cops were cool, but cigs cost $10+ a pack so either quit smoking or bring as much as you will need

I got my lawn seats yesterday,
but was asked to check on ticket availability for a friend that may be able to join us...

aka: the place they put you while the bots and brokers snap up all the tickets...
btw. I just got STAR WARS on vinyl. really good album
I see that they are playing the whole thing so I need to familiarize myself with it.
on first proper listen.. I was impressed.

2 tix in section 205. 3 shows in 3 days is a first for me and I've seen close to 250 shows in my life. Going to have to pace myself as I've recently hit 50, scary but, if Eddie can push himself to the limit for 3 hours I'm pretty sure I can. Would love to see Eddie show up at Wilco, not sure there's ever been much interaction between the 2 bands which, seems a bit odd seeing that Wilco has been my hometown's best band for the last 20 years and how often Eddie visits his old stomping grounds. Show #11 for me seeing Wilco and shows #24 & 25 for PJ! Hopefully all 3 shows live up to the hype, I'm sure they will!!!

Btw Star Wars is an amazing album, pretty incredible that their still releasing great music 20 years on! Saw the first performance of Star Wars at Pitchfork last July less then 24 hours after it dropped and it was a magical show, although ridiculously crowded as Pitchfork is not Indies little secret anymore!

Yep, I have also heard they have a new album in the can but, it's been ready for awhile...so I believe they will continue to tour Star Wars which, heads to Europe and then probably drop the album once the tour concludes. I know this is going to rustle some feathers but, Star Wars is just so much better then Backspacer and Lightning Bolt(both solid but, definitely not great). 20 years on and Wilco is still making great albums! Hopefully PJ still has one in them.

I got a ticket in 103! So excited to see them do a hometown show between 2 Pearl Jam shows at Wrigley.
I'm also seeing Wilco at the Mann in Philly on June 4. Richard Thompson is opening that show…what a great bill.
You see me empty, Sir, do not pause and inquire, simply assume and refill.

SW is certainly their best album since AGIB. Maybe even YHF.

I really hope the new album is released sooner than later. I would think it would be before the Euro tour so they can promote the Euro tour with the press of the new album.
