Ha, ha! Out of downers! Funny. Seeing rats today and walking across the Brooklyn Bridge changed my thoughts about NY. And I get to finish it off with Pearl Jam. Enjoyed my visit, even leaving with a $40 tourist tax.

All in all I think we did pretty damned good getting ourselves around NYC. JTH had his mapquest? App thingy on at all times. We were able to figure out the 2 and 3 trains pretty quickly. We figured out the F train. We were able to just walk to Times Square from the hotel. MSG and The Empire State Building were both just blocks away from the hotel. The FREE Staten Island Ferry was PERFECT for us, in order to get a great look at The Statue Of Liberty.

    We did just fine.
Much easier than I had thought.
But yeah, JTH did most of the thinking for me, but by the end of the weekend, I knew I could get myself around Manhattan, no problem.
    Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

Had a great time in NYC. Walked from WTC to MSG, stopping in the Village for tacos at the Blind Tiger Ale House. Then settled down with friends at Rattle and Hum for a million beers before the show.

Oh, and had a Shake Shack burger right after tacos because why not? Add in 3-4 slices and now I'm getting back on the health kick.

Glad to hear it. The majority of the tourist areas in Manhattan are on a grid, so it does kind of amaze me when people have trouble navigating it.

Happy to help everyone! I'll see you in the tourist thread for Chicago

Were you able to pick up both nights on N1 at will call? Prepping for Wrigley, may need to sell our N2s and go home SUN.

Had a blast my first time in NYC. Subway system is great...so much better than CTA here in Chicago. Had some great pizza, hit up the street vendors for some drunken gyros 2 nights in a row, hung out at a great dive bar in the west village and checked out the 9/11 memorial as well. Can't wait to go back.

This is the first time I've ever seen anyone say this non-sarcastically in my entire life.
