amen to Butch Walker.
Willie Nelson has been in the game too long to be opening for anybody.
Would just love to see him again .
Butch could totally get everyone going. Good times.

and my son turned me on to them. So he and I could go together.
Yeah, Chiodos is excellent. Craig Owens has a very big personality, which is good for an opener. Other bands in that arena that come to mind are
Between The Trees, who have a great live show,
but really, Ive always thought that
The Honorary Title would be great with Eddie.
Check them out
Zeppelin would be a decent opener, and I bet Hendrix is due for a reunion go. Either or...if worse came to worse, Clapton and Lennon could do a duet tour.

Yeah, they are pretty good. I was quite impressed at my son's taste. And he and I get to annoy each other by playing certain parts of songs over and over just to be able to tell each other the words of the song and how cool they are. I made him listen to Life Wasted every morning while I drove him to school just so he could hear my favorite part, when Eddie sings, "darkness comes in waves, to me......."etc.
Chiodos' song titles craqck me up too. Don't you get a kick out of them? They are usually so long and quirky.....what's that one, "Baby You wouldn't last a minute in the........(shoot it fails me now but isn't it coalmine?)".
For my son's 16th birthday we took him and one of his good friends to see them in Milwaukee at the Rave. He was sooooo pumped. He has seen them like three times this year I think. He likes Devil Wears Prada but although I do like heavy music, they are a bit too "screamo" for me.
I will check that band you recommended out. Thanks.
Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on The Creek......
Together we will float like angels.........
In the moment that you left the room, the album started skipping, goodbye to beauty shared with the ones that you love.........
Me and my two buddies. We performed a killer rendition of "The Weight" at a wedding reception a while back -- just sort of took the stage over, started singing and they fell in with us. WE TURNED THAT MUTHA OUT!!!!
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
I'm going to see Wolf Parade tomorrow night, so I'll weigh in on that later.
My dream bill, aside from no opener, would be Andrew Bird.
Calexico's also really engaging as well.
Others: Marah, though they might suffer from the Ted Leo syndrome of being waaaay better in a small venue.
The National
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride"!

First - Someone different but known and popular - Seasick Steve for example.
Second - My Morning Jacket. I've seen both MMJ and PJ but it would be orgasmic to see them together. I missed my chance when it happened
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

That said, I think it would be very fitting (and would love a collaboration) if they had Tom Morello as the Nightwatchman open up.
Pete Francis would also be killer.
How bout Eddie Vedder opening for PJ. Solo stuff, then the whole band! Once in a while I get a good idea.
