Ditch the openers. Give us an evening with Pearl Jam! Two sets would give us time to hang out more and this way they could play 3 hour shows with a break in between. Only potential problem would be Eddie getting too wasted at the set break.

    Tom Waits...
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......

i also agree that MMJ are too big to open for PJ. MMJ fans don't want to see them play for just one hour, and there's enough of us to fill up some decent sized theaters.

i'd like to see Pearl Jam and Mudhoney kick out the jams together again.

    Wow that was fuckin' great.....

Liars - saw them opening for Radiohead and it was an exciting show...don't know if they fit Pearl Jam's style, though.
    They frightened me.

No nothing was announced and this is just for fun. Which band would you like to see open for PJ for their next tour- whenever that will be.

My pick goes to Wolfmother, pretty popular and some good songs.

  • I think it's awesome when PJ brings us new music. Ben Harper in '94 was amazing and forever made me a fan. That being said, check out:

KOL- new album due out in the Fall (I think) and besides, is there anyone else?

KOL should be the only band to open for Pearl Jam

Definitely Ben Harper. As much as I love MMJ and KOL there should be some variety. I would love to see Social Distortion with them as well

Black Keys and Black Mountain would be good ones too

If that ever happened, I would then look forward to being moved to tears by Pearl Jam AND the opener. sigh....if only...
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
