stranger things have happened. obama is experienced. he is still very popular. he said that his political career is not going to be over, and he knows how to make the gop look very, very foolish.

i would say he is qualified for the gig, for sure.

    Wow, that's a great thought!
you want an unstoppable ticket, there it is right there.

i still plan to vote for bernie in the primary, but looking at the math he doesn't have it.
Looking at the math 8 years ago, Obama wasn't going to win either.

That voting group has only gotten stronger. Trump does not stand a chance against Clinton or Sanders.

Maybe. Maybe not. Trump is breaking the mold by bringing in new voters. No one really thought the GOP was capable of doing that heading into this cycle. That combined with traditional Republicans coming out in droves to vote against Hillary Clinton could lead to record turnouts. That wasn't something we saw on the Republican side in 2008 or 2012 and no model predicted it for 2016. This could be a lot closer than many are predicting.
    Smart.
And nobody likes Hillary and Sanders doesn't have a chance.
Shepard fairy isn't making as many posters for Bernie and RHCP can only do so many shows.

Exactly! There are a lot of people working very hard to discourage those of us who support Sanders. They're pulling every dirty trick out of the bag to get us to throw up our hands and quit. That just shows you how afraid they are. It just shows how resistant to change some people are, even when that change is in there own best interest. This is what abused people do. They hide behind what they recognize, what they are used to. But once they cut loose, they realize how much better off they are. This is what's going to happen. The change is coming. Many people will stay stuck on a path that leads to nowhere and they will amuse and distract themselves into thinking everything is OK but of course they know it isn't. Meanwhile, many others will move forward and take a better path. This is what is happening today and will continue to happen.

    Stop being afraid people.

    i am not being afraid.

all i am saying is that if we can't get sanders elected, a clinton presidency is not the worst thing that could happen.

if hillary gets the nomination and the democrats don't show up at the polls to support her, it is those no shows that are handing the keys to the white house and handing the supreme court to president trump. and that is not going to be good for anybody.

think about that before you people decide to stay home on election day.

Absolutely, the adult equivalent of taking your ball and pouting your way home.
Voting for Jill Stein (bless her awesomeness) is the same thing, it is giving in to the forces which want to see apathy. Hillary sucks, but let's not forget what's at stake.

The point is that you guys are giving up on Bernie way before you should. You're listening to the media who are saying that he is losing and that's not simply true. If Hillary wins well then she better come clean on those transcripts before hand.

i am not giving up on him. i have given him money a few times this campaign.

i am just saying i am not going to be one of these people who are going to be all butthurt and stay home if he doesn't get the nomination. and if you are someone who cares about the future of this country, you will do the same. we can't afford to give the presidency and the supreme court to the republicans because a couple million people are butthurt. that attitude is playing right into the hands of the republicans. they want to split the dems, and they are wringing their hands at the prospect of bernie supporters staying home. they have been attacking hillary for 20 years. she can handle it. they don't want to face her. but if you stay at home you make it easier for the republicans to take the whole thing.

"Stop being afraid" and "You are listening to the media" aren't the most compelling messages Bernie Sanders supporters could be putting forth. I respect the passion but lashing out at others who are looking at the situation objectively is counterproductive.

It has been asked several times in the Sanders threads. Has anyone taken the time to map out exactly what Bernie's path to the nomination is? What States does he win? Where does he finish close?

We'll see what happens tomorrow and Tuesday but going in with my eyes open is not giving up or being afraid. It is understanding the likely outcome.

a cautionary word to those bernie supporters threatening to stay home and not vote for clinton, remember, a democrat staying home on election day is a vote for the gop.

And potentially have ayatollah Cruz making two Supreme Court nominations!!
