That's not really near the arena (not sure if you know that). There is a Marriott right next to the arena and other named brands very close by like the Hilton.

Hard Rock is fun for gambling though.

Is that by the old Orient Road jail? I went to USF and seen to remember buying weed there and in Robles Park.

Thanks! Will take a cab or Uber. Just didn't want to be TOO early but knowing nothing about the area don't want to mess up.

The Hard Rock is next to the amphitheater. The arena is in the downtown of the city. I've always felt safe there. They have a strip of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the arena and an aquarium.

There's not much next to the Hard Rock except for the Hard Rock.

I know... I got a rental car, and I travel a lot, so if I can have a reason to NOT stay at a chain hotel, I'm all for it.

Those of you in Florida for the first few shows might want to note there will be a SpaceX launch on Friday afternoon. These launches are visible across the state.

For Tampa : anywhere you park downtown you can pick up a bike and ride it to the show .Behind the arena is a riverwalk that goes around downtown so access is easy to the show .

Cab/Uber. MIA airport is very convenient to downtown, the arena and beaches. It's probably 5-6 miles from the arena. Mass tran would take much longer.

I think it's like other beaches - don't bring glass bottles and you should be fine.

South Beach and Ft Lauderdale are the most famous and most crowded. Daytona is famous too but that's closer to the Jacksonville show.

Hollywood beach is not as busy and the West Coast seems to be more laid back.

I'd stick to South Beach or Ft Lauderdale if I was visiting. Locals go to those beaches too.

Yes, actually there is Deerfield Beach, which is really nice and pretty easy to get to the arena.
    http://www.deerfield-beach.com/index.aspx?NID=17

To get back to the arena, you would just take Hillsboro Avenue back west. Take a left of US 1.Go about 3/4 mile south to SE 10th, make a right, and the take SE 10th all the way to the Sawgrass Expressway which takes you directly the BB&T Center for the Sunrise/FLL show.

Also if you are out in Deerfield, check out some great eats at:

    -Charm City (great burgers)
    -El Jefe (authentic Mexican)
    -Whale's Rib (fried fish/shrimp/raw bar)

-Or on your way back, hit up Tucker Dukes for arguably the best burger in SFLA.

If you are coming in to town to go to a Miami show:

Check out two of our world's famous chefs put on an amazing meal for you. A bit on the pricey side, but hell you just flew down to Miami during the most expensive time of year. Live it up. One is a quick uber to the AAArena in the design district:

    Michael's Genuine

The other is a quick uber drive across the Venetian Causeway
